A mighty king of old, Artyr is the patron of all tournaments. As a king, he assembled a court of knights, all champions of noble sport, and was a master swordsman himself.
He was eventually betrayed by his own son, and slain in a tournament joust. However, his spirit was so noble, and his kingly virtues so beloved, that he rose anew for a brief moment, and unseated his traitorous son.
Afterwards, he was seen in visions at many tournaments, in shining plate with a shield of many colors, carrying a magnificent sword that shimmered like still water in the sun. His horse makes the sound of rustling leaves as he gallops, and has a mane of flame.
