Many nobles make their summer homes here to enjoy the views of the beaches along the shores of the Inner Sea as well as the games of chance that are offered at the beach-front parlors. As a frequent stop for travelers to Riverholm and to points beyond, vendors quite often can be seen hawking their exotic wares along the road to make a quick gold piece or two. Numerous items are for sale in the bustling town though not all are technically legal or approved of by the local government.

When you speak of Lanston to the southerners, they'll probably tell you two things, "try their fruit" and "avoid the beer" . Although the Lanston farms produce relatively little food, their rare fruit production provides significant economic stimulation. Bloodmoons from Dwilight as well as few curiosities from the Colonies grow well in this gentle climate. Exported to nearby cities and sold to interested travelers, these rare fruits provide almost half of the local economy.

Amongst the various stylized architectures there are some buildings of note. The second guildhouse of the mighty Templars was built here, though mostly decorative ruins remain of where it once stood. Work is under way to restore the structure so that its history is not forgotten, for better or worse.
At the end of the day though, the men of Lanston gather in the local pubs for some of their favorite local beer. The Igel Brewery provides the majority of the beer and is widely known for two things: alcohol content that defies reason and taste that causes men to gag. Both are huge exaggerations and although their beer not completely devoid of merit, imports are highly prized.

Currently standing though is the club-house atmosphere of the Atamara Symposium which is also housed in the region as a memorial to Abington's dedication to free speech and debate. A temple of the Way of the Hammer welcomes all Faithful with a modest yet powerful ambiance.
