As you can see there are alot of templates to use and many of them are in some ways complicated here is a good place to start for proper use and practical use of these templates

month1 Is what ever issue it is (in case you havnt noticed issue and month are interchangeable)
month2 this is purely for the directory of the page to flow, very simple MONTH2 IS THE MONTH 'S ABBREVIATION!!! EX) Month = December Month2 = Dec. Also the abbrevated month always starts with a capital letter. No abbbreviations for May, June, and July
year is the year of the issue. Ex) 2008 would be 08
