"Dam, he hits hard.." I had insisted after the match that I have a massage, specifically on my shoulders and arms. The women entered and bowed her head, I smiled and lay on the bed for her. I let my thoughts drift for a moment before the sudden steel grip of the lady cast aside my thoughts. "Ow.."

"Your muscles are all in knots, you must relax..let me work them..you'll feel relaxed. After I'm done." that left me little hope that this would be a peaceful massage. 

But after a while the pain began to fade and my mind, perhaps used to the pain, let me drift into my memory. The match was against The Imperator of Sol, he'd decided to use overrun tactics which Dellia knew would work to her advantage, let him get tired and the match is in hand. But she had been wrong, her defense had been barely holding on. I'd barely had the time to blink before another strike tested my defense, it was luck or perhaps that desperate desire to survive. The thrill of the hunter had pumped her, and as each blow followed her defense began to follow with counters. Until her defense was merely a dance, much like the tale of Witchers in those books she'd read long ago as a child. Redirect the blow away from you, dance around and let your blade follow your movement.

I felt the sudden heavy slaps across my back, shoulders and ending at my arms. It woke my body up, I felt invirgorated and alive and although my muscles felt raw the pain was no longer there.

"All done, now rest well and drink lots of water !"

Wassgandr raised his glass to Zhukov. He did not know Zhukov well but he respected anyone who died while fighting those evil creatures that plague every person on this continent.

==== Margaretha of Arescod ====
She had returned with her crossbowmen in order to face three challengers, but her mind was elsewhere. The fortifications in Outer Giask had fallen while she accepted these, and although the fort still stood, she had a mort of work to do, once she returned. Driven by that scornful mood, she had turned her mind away from the tournament. Although it was just a region away, it was her fault fot letting it get so bad. Or was it just bad luck? She didn't know what to do with it, and so did she enter her very first match, against Archmarshal Jorvik.

She ended up winning, but because of her goal to return as soon as possible, she had not realised that this was a glorious thing. Nevertheless, it made her come back into the tournament a bit, enough to care about her next opponent. The next person she fought against was Imperial Marshal Wassgandr. She remembered his protestations about dueling, but she had done a tournament with him before. She wasn't going to underestimate him. She adopted an uncommitted stance, and struck true. It gave her true joy that she won, but she was both in fear of her next opponent and in fear of her region.

Suzerain Queen Ciarghuala.

She hoped to overwhelm Ciarghuala, make her surrender before she could drag things out like she always did, but alas. She saw herself reflected on the brink of defeat, but managed to get away with it in the blink of an eye. She did not know how, but she did nonetheless. Maybe it was Ciarghuala's age catching up to her, that she couldn't end the fight? Maybe she was stronger than she had anticipated? Maybe it was good luck, to offset the bad luck that had fallen over her region? In the first tournament she had set herself the goal to be like Ciarghuala one day. She had not anticipated that this was that day already.

She stood in total amazement once the duel was over. "I have ... won?"

Morning had settled itself quietly, lighting my room with brightness. I woke from my slumber, my body still half asleep itself, I must've layed staring out of the window for a while as the noise of birds were drowned out by the bustle of the marketplace. Begrudgingly I threw the cover aside, my body still ached from the previous match and I had been thankful that no requests to duel had been issued yesterday. I let out a yawn as I stretched every part of my body, from my stiff arms to my toes. I had learnt a long time ago that to wake up one must allow the body to feel each joint and shake any rust that has accumulated during the night afterwards it was best to gently slap the entire body as to allow the blood to flow throughout each hidden corner.

I looked to the pile of letters to my table and sighed, there were reports of my region Ashrak. It was fairing well enough but it would need attention, perhaps a weeks worth of work to restore it. The others were to do with the tourny, I smiled at the feelings that came to me, the joy of the matches and the thrill of watching others do battle. I pulled a parchment and decided it was time to send my request as none had been sent to me.

Dear Fulco, as per the tourny I am now to be your next challenger. I would meet you at the match grounds and offer you combat to first blood. I look forward to cross blades with you. Signed, Dellia.

==== Pawl Paxwax ====
After weeks of fighting against the strange illness that had forced him to the bed, Dragon King Pawl finally started feeling better. Finally announcing it realm wide. Ironically unfortunately, one day later, only to find himself fighting a raging infection, this time. It was one the likes of being “abused by somebody” or clubbed over the head with a hard metal bat. The symptoms were weird as hell. He went through all sort of chronic pains, including the loss of smell, heaviness, malaise, tight chest and racing heart. Any of these symptoms could have caused death to him. However, Dragon King Pawl was a very stubborn man. He knew that he couldn't let his realm and people in their time of need.

Finally, after one more week of fighting, he started to recover. Finally, after so many weeks, he started to wake up without the pain present. Finally, he started to regain conscience and strength. Finally, he was once again able to command and lead his realm. Finally!

As the sun began to set, servants hastily tried to finish decorating the tournament ground for the main event.

The ground which they spent hours cleaning were occupied by Jorvik and Leonid who were waiting to face each other. They entered the tournament ground even before the opening ceremony and servants did not know what to do. They were not instructed on how to deal with such over-eager nobles that wanted to face each other.

When Wassgandr was reported about the incident, he merely ordered his servants to cancel the opening ceremony. Instead, he wanted to replace it by starting the first match as soon as possible.

Distinguished Guests, Knights and Dames, Lords and Ladies, Nobles and Commoners from here and around the continent, welcome to the Tournament ground in Aegir city  for the opening of the Arnor Open Tournament of 2020.

This is the first ever tournament held in Arnor and I'm delighted to welcome competitors from all across Dwilight. This reminds us that we are all brothers and sisters with the same incredible similarities despite the wonderful cultural diversity at display for this event. We want every competitor to feel as though they are competing in front of a home crowd every time they take to the field.

The city of Aegir will come alive over the next few days as Tournament fever sweeps the masses and I am sure that the players will show their appreciation with some fantastic performances and great sportsmanship.

Good luck to all of the competitors and thank you to everyone who has played a part in making this tournament happen.

They'd both been aggressive in their stance, the thrill of the battle had lit a fire within Dellia and her blade had swung with the youthful energy she held when fighting to survive against foul odds. Ciarghuala, leader of Luria Nova had proven to Dellia to be a true force of nature in her own right but Dellia was younger. Youth, although lacking the wisdom still had that energy a drive to survive and her own aggressive abilities had eventually lead her to win.

She stood dumb founded, looking all around her. Her hand still clutching tighly to her blade till the knuckles turned white, she then looked to the Ciarghuala. 

Dellia smiled faintly, bowing deeply to Ciarghuala and slowly straightened herself, the faint smile had grown into the bright grin of victory. Dellia let herself relaxed finally, dropping her sword to the floor.
