== <span style="font-size: 14px">Governing the Republic: Executive Offices </span> ==

<span style="font-size: 14px">Ohnar West shall have five chief offices of state. </span>

<span style="font-size: 14px">The Prime Minister shall be elected by a vote of all nobles of the realm. The Prime Minister shall be the chief legislative and diplomatic officer of the Republic. </span>

<span style="font-size: 14px">The Minister of Justice shall be elected by a vote of all nobles of the realm. The Minsiter of Justice shall be the chief judicial officer of the Republic. </span>

<span style="font-size: 14px">The Strategic Commander shall be appointed by and is answerable to the Prime Minister. The Strategic Commander shall be the chief military officer of the Republic and shall be empowered to remove (but not appoint) Marshals with cause. During wartime, all armies of Ohnar West shall be answerable to the Strategic Commander. </span>

<span style="font-size: 14px">The Minister of Finances shall be appointed by and is answerable to the Prime Minister. The Minister of Finances shall oversee the food supply of the realm according to the needs of its Dukes. The Minister of Finances shall also oversee the structure and enforcement of taxation policy as determined by the High Council. </span>

<span style="font-size: 14px">The Ambassador Plenipotentiary shall be the appointed by and is answerable to the Prime Minister. The Ambassador Plenipotentiary shall oversee the production and drafting of the Republic's treaties with foreign powers and undertake whatsoever assistance or travels are required as determined by the Prime Minister. to further the Republc's cause abroad. Other ambassadors may be appointed at the discretion of the Prime Minister,&nbsp; but they shall not hold the level of an executive office. </span>

== <span style="font-size: 14px">Governing the Republic: Legislation </span> ==

<span style="font-size: 14px">Ohnar West shall be governed by a bicameral, or two-house system. </span>

<span style="font-size: 14px">The High Council shall be the primary legislative body of the Republic. It shall consist of all sitting Dukes of the realm, the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Finances, the Stategic Commander, the Ambassador Plenipotentiary and the Prime Minister. The High Council shall be empowered to bind the Republic on any legislative measure with a majority vote, with each member holding one vote (even ift hey hold more than one office). In the event of a tie, the deciding vote shall go to the Prime Minister. </span>

<span style="font-size: 14px">The Assembly of Ohnar shall be the secondary legislative body of the Republic. It shall consist of the Prime Minister, all sitting Dukes of the relam, and all Region lords who are not otherwise eligible to sit on the High Council; that is, no lords holding an executive office. It shall also reserve one seat for an un-landed knight to be elected quarterly who shall serve on the Assembly with the same rights and privileges as a lord.&nbsp; The Assembly shall be empowered to overrule the High Council on any legislative matter with a 2/3 super-majority of all members. The Prime Minister shall only vote on in The Assembly in the event of a tie. The Assembly must have a quorum of 10 nobles (not counting the Prime Minister) to be recognized by the Republic; in the event that the Republic loses regions so that it no longer has ten nobles, this document must be revised and re-ratified by a realm-wide referendum. </span>

<span style="font-size: 14px">The Forum of Ohnar shall be established as the venue for all major discussions regarding current and legislative affairs. The Forum shall be open to any noble of Ohnar West in good standing who wishes to participate in the governing of the realm. The Forum is not itself a legislative body, but rather a window on to the High Council and the Assembly of Ohnar. Discussion of matters deemed sensitive or secret shall by the High Council shall be restricted to the High Council. </span>
