News and Events from the great Elven Realm of Sirion on the East Continent!

CURRENT AFFAIRS Elven Census A quick unofficial census puts the elven population in the realm of Sirion at around 240,000 elves. This is based on counting the population from those regions that have been a part of Sirion for as long as this reporter can remember. - Sanford Fontan is suffering A series of brutal defeats have left the realm of Fontan struggling. General Ryu neatly cut the realm of Fontan in two by taking over its center regions, causing regions like Al Amarah to starve. Seemingly desperate, Fontan nobles have asked their families to invest in the region, but this was quickly taken advantage by Sirion forces. The looting of Fontan gold has just filled Sirion's war coffers. - Sanford Setback in Caqueta, Continued Victories in the South The northern Sirion forces attempted to repel and stop the takeover of the Sirion region of Caqueta, but despite two attempts were narrowly defeated. Caqueta has now joined the realm of the Sultanate of Asena. The forces in the South are doing much better however. The region of Al Amarah saw its recruitment centers and walls demolished, before it finally rebelled and went rogue. The Sirion forces then moved on to Negev and have just recently done a successful takeover of that region. Meanwhile Commonyr was invaded by Sirion forces, and despite some attempts by Fontan to take it back they have been successfully repelled each time. In somewhat related news, Sir Ryu has stepped down from his role as General, and in his place Sir Ilias was appointed as the new General. - Sanford Ore discovered in Skezard! Valuable ore has been found in Skezard, boosting production and gold income of the region. This has caused discussion among Sirion nobles as to whether Skezard should be brought into the fold of the realm again. - Sanford

Corrections We don't usually comment on other magazines, but this one is so factually wrong that we felt it was best to correct their mistakes: There have been no protests in Sirion city. Sirion Council has not made any public safety announcements. The water supply has not been poisoned. The elven population is doing just fine. The whole of Sirion is not in mourning. People are not holding vigils. Condolences have not been sent all across the East Continent.
