The Church of Sartan/Book of Prayers
History
The oldest known copy of the Book of Prayers is kept in a special shrine in the City of Ibladesh on the East Island. Nobody knows how this mixture of texts, proverbs, prayers, wise sayings was combined into one book. One of the Followers of the Church of Ibladesh took a copy of this book with him to Sartania, where a new version of it was brought out. The new version consists out of all the texts, prayers etc. of the Book of Prayers of the Church of Ibladesh in which Sartan is refered to or named. Still Followers sometimes find Artifacts in which new texts, prayers etc. are written down. Those are then added to the Book of Prayers. Reading in the Book of Prayers is not necessary. However it's prayers are often (mis)quoted on special occasions.

Sartan, I ask you for your guidance. Come to me with the Your desire for my future. Watch over my wife and son with a ready sword. Whisper to them that I live only to hold them again, for all else is dust and air. Sartan, I honour you and will try to live with the dignity that you have taught me.

Taught never to retreat, never to surrender. Taught that death on the battlefield in service to Sartan was the greatest glory he could achieve in his life.

Sartan, in Your sovereignty I pray and I beg before Your greatness that You would be gracious to us. That You would open up our hearts and minds and cause them to see the truth. Grant them repentance. Grant them faith.

Never shall innocent blood be shed, yet the blood of the wicked shall flow like a river. We shall spread our blackened wings and be the vengeful striking hammer of Sartan.
