Realm Maps

I would like to have the data on the coordinates of the 123 regions of East Continent, ie. the coordinates on the map which you put flag icons. Will help me a lot coding the thing =) -- Gsklee 22:14, 23 January 2007 (CET)

Nevermind, I've found what I want in the dynamic map. -- Gsklee 20:08, 25 January 2007 (CET)

WikiSpam

Is there a way to block edits that contain more than 3 or 4 off-site links? This would probably not block any legitimate edits, but would block all these stupid spambots. --Indirik 04:31, 11 August 2007 (CEST)

No, we've another anti-spam idea in the works, but it's waiting for me because I'm thinking about updating the Mediawiki software. --Tom 01:34, 12 August 2007 (CEST)

Dwilight

I'd rather you go on IRC so I can tell you (I'm CertifiedInsane), otherwise, chances are, some people will beat you to checking it, and we wouldn't want to spoil too much of the surprise. If you insist, I can tell you here though, but I still wouldn't say everything I find out. -Chénier 00:54, 24 August 2007 (CEST)

Oh, and for what I revealed, I figured that since it had to do with the starting realms it'd be the first thing to became common-knowledge, and it's something that's not too dificult to realise when taking certain things into consideration, I hope the region count per realm didn't cause any problems. -Chénier 00:57, 24 August 2007 (CEST)

Protecting pages

Though I could be wrong, I think when protecting pages, you have to select the option "Sysops only". The default options (which I assume is what you're using) allows everyone to edit it, which I believe unprotects the page. I just tested it on my user page to check it out, and I protected the Good Submissions page. --The1exile 03:14, 26 August 2007 (CEST)

NOSUBST

Is there any chance for an upgrade to a wiki version that supports NOSUBST? As is, an attempt to make a custom signature is put under SUBST, meaning the signature isn't used as a template and is instead inserted into the page - what appears as a short signature could be 7 lines of code being inserted into page (e.g. User:Bannable/sig). --Bannable 19:32, 19 February 2008 (CET)

Thats good to hear, I can't wait. :) --Bannable 20:14, 19 February 2008 (CET)
Just thought I'd revisit an old question - was the move to PHP5 ever finished(or started)? --bannable 01:57, 16 January 2009 (CET)

Everguard wiki page

Tom - I don't understand, what about the page is speculative? The realm has been founded, all the council positions are updated and correct, the region section is up to date with only our three regions (as is the map), the diplomatic relations section is clear and correct (taken directly from the diplomatic relations screen on BM), the military section is correct, up to date and general, the guilds section makes it clear that Everguard PLANS to add those particular guilds (ie it uses future tense - ie "and plans to make a great deal of use of guilds" and "Each guild will have a specific purpose") and makes no reference to them already existing... even the section on Torenism which hasn't been founded yet makes it clear in explicit language that it is yet to be founded "Though the organized religion itself has yet to be founded...".

I guess I don't understand why it needs a tag that says "In short, this page does not outline something that you can currently find in the game." when 95% of the content in the article is in existence and in the game, and the 5% that is not is very clearly marked as being planned or not yet established. I'm not trying to be difficult - I am honestly completely confused given the nature of the article... its completely done and clear. If you could help me out with what is causing that tag to be necessary, then I'll fix it so it can be taken down. Arylon 19:45, 27 March 2008 (CET)

Hey Tom - its Matt. Do me a favor and go to the Everguard page and hit refresh on your browser. I think the problem for some of you guys might be that you have that image cached. I uploaded a new version of that file on March 21st to reflect the actual number of regions Everguard has. Sometimes when I load up new versions of the same file, it won't display the new file until I hit refresh - and I think that may be the problem with the map for you and/or anyone who might still see "too many regions". The current file has Everguard with three regions - Valkyrja, Yggdramir and Ygg d'Razhuul - which are the three (and only three) that the realm has at current. I think this may be the reason for the confusion. Thanks Tom. Arylon 14:16, 28 March 2008 (CET)

Requested Page Edits Completed

Edits of Luz Capital Debate1 and Luz Capital Debate2 are completed, per request on 5 May 2008 (CEST). Last names have been replaced with beginning letter. Apologies for the significant delay. If it is not satisfactory, please let me know. ~ Marc J. 21:08, 14 October 2008 (CEST)

Re: 3D Models

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the textures to work. I uploaded all of my textures and put them on the contest page, and if you extract them into the model directory the textures will appear, but the mapping will be wrong.

I use Cinema 4D for my models, and I haven't been able to properly UV map the textures to make them look as good as they are within C4D, but perhaps you'd have better luck. If you want, I can give you the mapping parameters that I have for each texture within C4D. --AlexN 21:48, 11 January 2009 (CET)

Additionally, I have noticed that animations are not exported when I export to the FBX or 3DS formats, and I am not sure if there is any way to export animations. I suppose that one workaround to this problem would be for you to find a specific frame that you want me to export for each animation (I assume that the final product will be a still image and not an animation.) Cinema 4D does not appear to be very export-friendly, but another idea is that, once you obtain all of the models you need for a scene, you could give me directions on how to put it together into a final product within Cinema 4D. Nevertheless, I am still attempting to UV map the textures (no success, yet :( ). --AlexN 19:37, 12 January 2009 (CET)
I have redone the textures for the windmill and put them up on the contest page. Try it and tell me if it works now.

Unfortunately, I have realized that I can't get an animated fountain to work under any circumstance, because I use Cinema 4D-specific emitter objects. --AlexN 23:58, 15 January 2009 (CET)

Re: properties

My apologies, I hadn't known that that page listed the defined properties. --RubyDragon 21:40, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Region Moves

Yeah, I know, but I like to keep links done properly and avoid unnecessary redirects. However, I soon realized how long it would take to move regions if I worried about it now. And the fact that you probably have Continent/Region with many aspects of BM(such as economy ratings) and that people will need time to adjust. I'll worry about redirects in a few months when everything is figured out with semantics and organization. --Vita Family 10:46, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

TOC

Can you figure out what changed/is wrong with the TOC yet? I checked on Firefox and Safari so its not just Opera that views it weird. It's aligning to the left and is not being wrapped in the text. It elongates already long pages like Dwilight/Timeline and East Continent/Timeline --Vita Family 14:35, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: New Region Pages

Ahh sorry, I had been adding them to the ones that did not have them just to keep it uniform. --Athins 20:05, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
