The rich townsland region of Al Amarah was ripe for the picking, despite having a motte and bailey defending it. At the crack of dawn, the Sirion elves assaulted the Fontan forces. Though a number of peasants joined the beseiged defenders, and the elven forces soon discovered that their arrows were not of much use against stone, the Sirion forces clambered up the defenses and claimed the day!

Atanamir of Umbar's scribe also dutifully recorded the events of that day.
