Ancient Era

The Ancient Era of Luria Nova marked a time of great change and evolution, as the kingdom experienced the rise and fall of many leaders and systems. From the earliest days of the first king, to the tumultuous transitions that followed, Luria Nova's history is rich with intrigue, conflict, and transformation. It was during this era that the foundations of Luria Nova's hegemonic system were laid, setting the stage for the kingdom's continued growth and prosperity in the years to come.

  • King Fulco D'Este: First King of Luria Nova. As Duke of Giask at the time of the secession, he became the first king of the fledgling realm. Abdicated voluntarily in accordance with the Lurian tenets stipulating the division of power. Remained as the Duke for many years.
  • King Amaury Capet: Second King of Luria Nova. Exiled by Alanna after the Lurian Civil War, he became a driving force behind her downfall. He returned to his old homelands the very day of the secession, and became Luria Nova's first High Constable. After Fulco's abdication he was elected King, winning against Candidate Rickhart Haerthorne, and reigned during a season before being overthrown by a rebellion led by Royal Duke Fulco.
  • King Rickhart Haerthorne: After the rebellion against King Amaury, new elections were held, in where King Rickhart was elected over Candidate Levon Arrakis. He died in Grodno from the D'Haran Pox.
  • King Tybalt Crusader: Was elected King Rickhart's successor running against three other candidates. He and Arbiter Malus warred Pian en Luries, concluding the affair in victory. He was later ousted by Royal Duke Fulco and his supporters.

Hegemony Era

The Hegemony Era marked the rise of Luria Nova as a dominant power in the southern half of the continent. From its humble origins as a remote kingdom in Greater Luria, the Hegemony expanded its influence through a series of hard-fought wars against both southern and northern neighbors. Under the leadership of its Suzerain Emperors and Empresses, Luria Nova thrived, becoming a beacon of power, culture, and religion. During this era, Lurians first embraced the faith of the Blood Stars, which played a significant role in shaping their society and worldview.

  • Suzerain Empress Alice Arundel: First Queen of Luria Nova. After Royal Duke Fulco stepped down willingly to a successor, he named former Arbiter Malus, Duke of Sun Hall, his favored heir. However, the Duke was nowhere to be found and a candidate was needed to replace him. Lady Alice ran for the throne against another noble who later dropped from the race, assuring her victory. Within a month she concluded Luria Nova's conquest of Luria Vesperi, and took its crown as well. Queen Alice established the Hegemony of Luria Nova, the third Lurian Empire and took the title of Suzerain Empress.
  • Suzerain Empress Alanna Anaris: The successor of Suzerain Empress Alice and Duchess of Moon Hall.
  • Suzerain Emperor Seoras Madigan Nifelleisca: Duke of Sun Hall
  • Suzerain Emperor Sholan A'Valti: The Duke of Sky Hall and Lord of Outer Giask became Emperor after Emperor Seoras Madigan stepped down to become the founder of Ecclesial Sanguiastroism. He became Emperor during a time of upheaval as increased hordes of monsters overran the west and caused widespread destruction in the east.
  • Suzerain Emperor Aldrakar Renodin: The King of Sky Hall and Margrave of Giask.
  • Suzerain Emperor Aylwin Gottfried: The King of Moon Hall and Margrave of Askileon. The last emperor during the hegemony era.

Imperial Era

The Imperial Era was a time of both expansion and decline for the Lurian Empire. Seeking to prevent the collapse of the hegemonic system, Lurians expanded their reach beyond their traditional borders and formed the First Empire with the addition of Sol and Swordfell. Though the Empire initially prospered, it was weakened by the great war instigated by Westgard and its allies. Despite valiant efforts to maintain their power, the Lurians were ultimately unable to save the Empire from collapse, marking the end of a significant chapter in their history.

  • Emperor Alessio de Medici: Established the Lurian Empire which replaced the Lurian Hegemony. The First non-Novan emperor. Established Luria Ferrata which failed after his death and was absorbed back to Luria Nova. Got the empire involved in the Goldoran-Wesgardian war but did not see it through. Died of cancer.
  • Emperor Byron Dupont: The First non-Lurian emperor. Known for being a very stable emperor. Saw the end of the Goldoran-Wesgardian war.

Post Imperial/Transitional Era

The Post-Imperial/Transitional Era was a time of struggle and uncertainty as the remnants of the fallen First Empire attempted to hold on to their fading glory. Many clung to old traditions and values, unwilling to accept the inevitable change that was coming. The era was marked by a sense of loss and a longing for the past, as well as a growing recognition of the need to adapt to new realities. Despite the challenges, however, the era also saw the emergence of new ideas and the beginnings of a new order that would shape the future of Luria Nova.

  • Suzerain Emperor / Suzerain King Bennet Selemnir: The first Suzerain King of Luria Nova. The empire slowly crumbled while he was on the throne but that was due to failed emperors that came after Emperor Dupont. Before King Bennet resigned, the imperial throne became vacant and stayed that way until the end of the empire.
  • Suzerain Empress Ciarghuala Dubhaine: The first Novan empress. Sought to make the empire functional again but did little to actually get it done. Known for making arbitrary decisions which caused her council members to not be in favour of her actions.

Ascendancy Era

The Ascendancy Era marked a triumphant return to power for the Lurians. Through successful military campaigns and strategic diplomacy, the Ascendancy managed to expand its influence across the continent and amass unimaginable wealth. With the establishment of the new Ascendancy System, the Lurians centralized their power even further, becoming an unstoppable force. Traditional rivals were crushed under the might of the Lurian army, solidifying their dominance. However, as the Ascendancy grew in power, the people began to lose faith in the old ways. The faith of the Blood Stars, once a cornerstone of Lurian culture, lost its appeal as its leaders became increasingly out of touch. A new religion, Lux Nova, emerged as a beacon of hope and stability for those seeking a new path. The Ascendancy Era was a time of both triumph and transformation for the Lurians, as they sought to forge a new future for themselves and their people.

  • Suzerain Emperor Bruce Wilde: Brokered a deal with a sizable group of Tol-Goldoran nobles. In exchange for two regions, they joined Luria Nova to serve, increasing the noble count of the realm significantly. Later, another deal was made with Solomon, the former ruler of Tol-Goldoran, which brought few more nobles from Tol-Goldora. He also changed the realm named to 'Ascendancy of Eternal Luria Nova', officially ending the Empire. Soon after, he declared war on Astrum which ended in a month with Astrum kneeling before him(Astro-Lurian War). Westgard declared war at the end of his reign(WG-Lurian War).
  • Suzerain Emperor/Heliacal Wassgandr Felsenbach: Ascended to power at the onset of the WG-Lurian War, ushering in a transformative era for Luria under his leadership. Significant governmental changes were implemented, distinguishing this period from its predecessors. The establishment of the Radiant Council and the House of Lords played a pivotal role in redefining and decentralizing power structures. In a monumental conflict over Nebel Island, Luria Nova, led by Wassgandr, engaged in a fierce campaign against D'Hara. After an intense month-long struggle, D'Hara conceded, recognizing the formidable strength of the Ascendancy. Months later, during a northern campaign, the Rose King Munet Pentel the Traitor declared war on Luria Nova, igniting a ten-day conflict that concluded with the complete obliteration of Wicrose(formerly known as Astrum).
