Winning in Wynford!
Just earlier today, the forces of Abington took the field against a larger combined force of ASI, Falasan, and Darka. The combat strengths were 23,136 for Abington, and 27,707 for the allied forces taking over Wynford. The large engagement, led by High Marshal Xuayne showed the terrific lines of Abington, as for the first time in a long time, the entire army was all in the same step. This would prove to be the fall for ASI, as their troops were not all in sync and hit Abington in smaller waves that could easily be crushed by the well formed troops. Veteran troop leaders would lead the way for Abington, several of them saw the entire battle threw. Lord Trager took big role in the battle, with his one remaining cavalry staying in the fight to the finish. Altmon, as well would finish off the fight. Cavalry of Grand Poohpah came with a massive blow, and Sir Phlex led his troops to the end of this victory. The timing of this victory could not have been better, as Abington seemed to be losing ground quickly in this war, now with ASI, and Falasan, and parts of Darka repulsed, Abington will gain some much needed breathing time to prepare for a likely wave of attacks again. However this is not the only hotspot in Abington right now, as Wayburg looks to be under attack once again.

Lady Callisto's Ascension;
During the week, Lady Callisto, Royal Treasurer and Duchess of Suville, broke word to the realm that she was very much intending on assuming the throne when Queen Armitage III chooses to step down. Queen Armitage III was not meant to be a very permanent ruler, as she was only taking the leadership after King Carriantor nearly tore the kingdom to bits. In several very lengthy statements she addressed all the current issues in Abington, from the remarks of Lord Gabriel, to her claim to the throne and the war with ASI. To help our readers out some, I will try and condense what the duchess wrote.

First she spoke of her intentions for some time now to take the throne, she has been groomed for this position by Queen Armitage III for some time, and while not feeling ready for it after King Gabriel stepped down, she now feels she is ready to take the role. Secondly she showed her support for Lord Gabriel, saying that he is still a "great man" he just made a poor choice, and worse it came off looking extremely bad, even though its intentions were not. Thirdly she spoke of the terms that DR would offer, which we all saw today in Queen Armitage's posting. And finally she spoke of how to fix Abington up internally, which was essentially to put more power into the duchies, giving them more responsibility.

A date or time for the succession of the throne has not been given, and is not necessarily even going to happen for some time, more details on this will come out as more information is received.

Gabriel's Grief;
To the surprise of many in Abington, a few days ago Judge Gauihu found Lord Gabriel guilty of treason. From the information the Weekly has been able to collect, Lord Gabriel was looking for some changes in Abington's policies and judge. During his reign he very much favored diplomacy over any other form of politics, and he was successful with it, as Abington had a very prosperous time. In his later time as King, he started to despise our current judge, calling him a most cold hearted man, cruel and unjust. As the situation here in Abington has been getting worse over the last month, apparently former King Gabriel was trying to again take more matters into his own hand, at one time taking poll amongst the council to see who he would have as a supporter. In his rush to try and save Abington, he was very discrete about telling anyone of his plans, and to one not know what they were, it was absolute treason.

Gabriel is not a treacherous noble; his intentions were pure, wanting only to continue to do the best for Abington, even after his time as king. Had more time been taken by Judge Gauihu, he would probably not have been banished from Abington, as Lady Callisto has already essentially promised a full pardon should he want to return when she takes the throne. He has since joined the realm of Darka, an enemy of Abington; we can only wonder what his plans are from there, if the be for good or for ill. With faith we can only hope that he will again come back to Abington, doing his best for her, and regaining the respect he so much deserves.

A remembrance to the Fallen;
While I was in Worav before ASI took it over, I spoke to Judge Moses asking for his return of Nimrod's body. To my surprise he was more than willing to return it Abington hands. He promptly sent it to me, along with a letter of understanding our loss. I have since made my way from Worav to Wayburg; crossing threw the region of Chasnoff without being disturbed, and arriving just today in Wayburg. A ceremony for the burning of his body will be held tomorrow afternoon, and all TLs are welcome to attend. After the ashes have been placed into the urn, I will send them to my brother on the South-East Island to deliver to his mother in their home of Aboal.

Insight from Afar;
Prompted by my speaking with Judge Moses of Ash Sea Island, I will make an effort to interview foreign leaders, both friend and foe. For next week's article I will interview Judge Moses more in depth, finding out his thoughts on Abington, the war, and his relations or lack there of with Judge Gauihu. I am very encouraged to write this section, and will hopefully be able to bring more light into the realm so more of our Nobles will understand perspectives from the outside world. I will be sending a copy of this paper, along with a note asking each leader of the realms to please accept an interview from me, so that I can add them to this column. Hopefully this becomes very productive for all involved in its progress, and again please read here next week, when I have a full report of an interview with ASI's Judge Moses.
