Monuments
In honour of the Fallen who have blessed Winifael with their sacrifice.
As soon as one enters Wraith's Howl there is a monument impossible to miss.
The memorial is a tall grouping of multiple statues representing a unit of 10 men each in heroic poses as if they were all in a last stand, the details of the statues very much crafted with precision and care and each having a description given by Harfal of the men he saw die in his second battle, "The Wolverines" in their splendor however some faces still left blank purposefully as you do not see the face of all who died.
A flag of Thalmarkin frozen in place and held by one of those 10 men it isn't held high like other statues rather it is held close to the ground however it is one of the last things that particular soldier held onto before falling to the ground, the motions of the statues leaving place to the imagination as to what would happen next, most likely a slaughter of those 10 represented. Each statue with a face was represented in what really happened to a man before dying, terror, some had acceptance, pain, sadness and other emotions on there as to show the true gruesome reality that is facing your death and to show how these men still died for the province despite their sour expressions.
The statues rest on a block of solid metal on which the names of all who have fallen, commoner like nobles if any is inscribed. It was made so that on each of the 4 sides of that block names could be added as more men would fall to monsters and undead coming from the northern rogue regions and each of these sides would eventually be filled out.
Each name no matter the background had the same size, it was pretty small and to read you had to approach the monument, this design was of course to make space for the future Fallen and each letter designed so that when a side is full it looks almost like a wave of names to compliment the statues on top of it. The only letters bigger than the names are the ones making the title of this monument, adorning each four side of the block at the center top of the block "In honour of the Fallen who have blessed Winifael with their sacrifice. Shall they rest in peace."
At the complete bottom of it, written in even smaller letters would be two names and a short description:
"Monument erected by Harfal Va Harvey with the help and patronage of King Dancer Rea."
