Ibladesh-icon.jpg Turbulent Times
White City Herald has been founded in difficult and uncertain times. Many things have gone wrong after Ibladesh founded the Diocese of Aix in new conquered lands. Uncontested and mighty, the Ibladeshian Empire charged against Perdan and Caligus supported by their brothers in faith from Aix. However, as time went on this proved to be a difficult task. With the fall of Diocese of Aix, noblemen of Ibladesh found themselves to be surrounded by infidels. For a long time the battles were fought on the outskirts of the Ibladeshian Empire, however, the Perdanese and Caligan onslaught proved to be mighty indeed as their cohorts advanced deeper and deeper into the Ibladeshian territory. It was in these perilous days that Pontifex Theuderik resigned from the Throne of Ibladesh, and the nobility this time crowned Abraxas Arrakis as their new Pontifex. As the new Pontifex ascended the throne, he found little friends on the continent and his enemies brutally determined to see the destruction of the Church of Ibladesh and the power of Ibladesh severely reduced. Battles are frequent as the South burns with war. Ibladeshian defenders are daily mobilizing the young and the old to rise to the defense of their lands. Priests can be found on every corner, blessing the nobles and soldiers and zealously encouraging them to fight. War drums and battle cries have become a daily routine, while fire and death have become a reality. Times are turbulent, days are long and the future is uncertain. However, faith, steel and courage have forevermore been a sole companions to the brave sons of Ibladesh. Followed by the gaze of the gods and their forefathers from above, the noblemen of Ibladesh continue to fight against the odds. Therefore, it is the duty and obligation of this newspaper to report from the current situation in the South, so that the deeds of many a great noblemen are forever recorded in the long rivers of history.

Ibladesh-icon.jpg Aeolus Ironsun appointed as the new Duke of Al Arab
The long ruling Duke of Al Arab, Lord Quake Beam, has decided to retire from his post and look for a more serene life. Many good nobles were interested in this prestigious position in Ibladesh and Pontifex Abraxas decided to appoint Lord Aeolus Ironsun as the new Duke. In a small ceremony, he was tasked with the running and protection of his city. Duke Aeolus is a longstanding member of the Church of Ibladesh and a great contributor to the libraries of the Church. He was also the leader of the Aix effort where he founded the Diocese of Aix. For his experience and pious dedication the Pontifex of Ibladesh charged him with protection of the city that is on the front line of the Perdanese invasions. Al Arab is put under great pressure from our enemies, however, best soldiers are guarding the city daily. As Perdanese armies swarm around the now rogue regions of the Duchy of Al Arab, the city stands with its iron walls and high towers as a beacon of Ibladeshian defense.

Ibladesh-icon.jpg Arrival of the Prince
Few days ago the Ibladeshian society welcomed the son of Pontifex Abraxas. Prince Gregorian has previously spent time in foreign courts where he was educating himself in different areas, but was longing to return ever since. His arrival will certainly be useful in the struggles Ibladesh endures, as he appears to be a solid reinforcement to the noble ranks. It is also rumored that Prince Gregorian draws looks from many court ladies, and is considered a very desirable suitor.

Ibladesh-icon.jpg Victory in Betholm!
As the daring Caligan invaders entered Betholm the Ibladeshian armies rallied in Oc Lu Pesh to repel them. The march lasted through the entire night and with the first rays of dawn the Ibladeshian cohorts charged the enemy lines. Over 3000 men fought in the fields of Betholm on that day, and the fighting lasted for several hours. Swords were broken, shields were split and soil was soaked with blood both noble and common. In the end, Ibladesh emerged victorious, raising our banners and swords high in the air, followed by the victorious shouts! In the aftermath of the battle, it was revealed that Paladin Primus of Ibladesh, Barzelli Sarracenia, captured the King of Caligus himself. Paladin Primus received many praises of his peers for such a valiant act, and certainly he caught the eye of Sartan himself. It is also rumored that the cavalry of Pontifex Abraxas managed to wound the General of Caligan armies on the initial charge. All together, this was a very decisive victory for Ibladesh, one that has not been seen for quite a long time.

Ibladesh-icon.jpg King Dobromir released
Once the commotion of the great victory in Betholm properly settled down, it was to be decided how to treat the King of Caligus. Pontifex Abraxas quickly urged Patriarch Roberd Galvez to release King Dobromir, as treating royalty with respect is in the spirit of chivalry and honor. Ibladesh can proudly show their faces, as even when being under a heavy invasion the good traits of nobility are ever present in our lands.

Ibladesh-icon.jpg Al Aquabah overrun! Semall breached!
As the nobles of Ibladesh were battling their way trough the Caligan hordes, a cunning Perdanese sneak attack occurred on the other side of our vast Empire. Like thieves in the night the Perdanese army, the one who call themselves to be murderous or murderers, sieged the walls of Semall and successfully overpowered our militia men who were guarding the city. In the same time, a larger host of Perdanese soldiers have overrun Al Aquabah and started to brutally subjugate that province. The armies of Ibladesh, fueled by the victory in Betholm, are supposedly mobilizing again and riding hard to repel the invaders out of their lands.

Ibladesh-icon.jpg Al Aquabah lost to the enemy
Exiled peasants from Al Aquabah speak many dreadful stories about the brutality and viciousness that Perdanese soldiers have performed in order to subdue them. The population of Al Aquabah has been almost completely killed by the systematic genocide that Perdan has been enforcing on that region for some time now. To make it even worse, there were several reports of Perdanese soldiers blindly killing and even raping the women of this fair region. Things like these makes us wonder what sort of monsters have ordered a slaughter of this magnitude. Al Aquabah no longer flies our banner.

Ibladesh-icon.jpg Clarence Harte commits suicide
Another tragedy has struck our fair realm recently. Lord Clarence Harte, a man of the cloth, has taken his own life in a ceremonial suicide. To comprehend his reasons for this, one needs to know something about the most recent history of Ibladesh. In the last elections Clarence Harte ran against the current Pontifex Abraxas. He was defeated in these elections and received little support, however, during the voting he publicly accused Pontifex Abraxas of forging his roots, and questioned whether Pontifex Abraxas truly was the son of Mythos. However, many of the most respected nobles of our society witnessed in favor of the Pontifex, thusly refuting Lord Clarence's claims. Lord Clarence went missing after that and has only recently

returned to Ibladesh. In a heated debate that circulated the entire realm Lord Clarence lost support of many nobles he once considered friends; most importantly, Lord Theuderik, the former Pontifex of Ibladesh. This resulted in a complete breakdown as Lord Clarence took his own life shortly afterwards. His nephew, Callandor II, has sworn vengeance against Ibladesh and promised a complete destruction of our fair realm, and has been afterwards banished from Ibladesh. Ill-timed news indeed, however, we stand steadfast in our right to exist in this world.

Ibladesh-icon.jpg Perdan crushed in Woolton
After the Perdanese brutal devastation of Al Aquabah the scouts spotted them fleeing north. The righteously aligned armies of Ibladesh were following them into Woolton and after a few days we managed to catch them while they were regrouping in the outskirts of a forest area. Our trumpeters immediately sounded the charge at the break of dawn. Perdanese ranged troops proved to be deadly indeed while they were in cover, however, as the charging steeds of our mighty cavaliers approached the first lines, the Perdanese ranks have been quickly broken, opening many holes in their defensive wall. The infantry quickly rushed in while our riders were simply proceeding apace with their charge and cutting the surviving enemy infantry down, and all of this was followed by the volleys of arrows our ranged troops were sending at the enemy archers who were now running for the cover of the woods. In this mayhem our noble Elrohir III Undomiel managed to cut down for good one of Perdanese nobles, Yogie Guldan, hence ending his life on this earth. While the death of any noble is rarely celebrated in Ibladesh, we of the Herald feel that the gods have taken revenge on the Perdanese noble who was making a systematic genocide together with other invaders in Al Aqubah for some time now.

Ibladesh-icon.jpg Guardians threaten again
The Guardians family have threatened Ibladesh again. For those unaware the feud was started when Murphy Guardians, a suspected heretic possessed by mysterious 'darkness', lost support by Ibladeshi nobles and was then forcefully exiled from Ibladesh. His relative Delta this time sent a short threatening message to all nobles, before vanishing again. It is rumored that Delta is hiding somewhere in the sewers of the White City, but the agents of the Crown are hot on his trail to remove this threat once and for all.
