Background Color

Would it be possible to put in a way to change the background color? Sometimes the realm color does not make a good background. --Athins 21:45, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

So, get your ruler to change it. :p Seriously, though, I have added a "TitleColor" parameter to cover this. Check the docs. --Indirik 18:14, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
I tried to use both forms of templates here, and one of them did not import the realm colour (it was white). Then I wrote Yellow and let it go for now. Just something that should be fixed. Also, it doesn't look very good with the whole region painted in colour, perhaps just a strip on the top would be better? - Ta|i 17:28, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
If you put the parameter in ("|TitleColor = "), then you must specify a value. If you want it to pick up the color from the game, then you need to completely leave the parameter out. When I first made the template, I tried to get just the top header colored, and It didn't work for some reason. I never went back and tried to fix it. I know, I should... --Indirik (talk), Editor (talk) 18:59, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Realm Map and Names

Realms with spaces in their name like Akadian League, Old Rancagua, Tuchanon V, Cagilan Empire, Kingdom of Alluran etc. won't be able to use this. The map uses %20 for the map url and that causes the title to show up with that for the spacing. I also got a bunch every region in the game to show up in regions when I tried it along with some other errors. --Vita Family 07:27, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

I have added a new parameter for the map name. Any realm that wants a map in the RealmBox should add the "MapName" parameter. See the docs for details. --Indirik 12:46, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Banker Name

For some reason the template is outputting the General's name as the banker. Yet it still considers the "Has banker" as the right name. So it just has to be an issue with the output. For an example look at Corsanctum. It says the banker is Argon Le Mont, (who is the general). But the Has banker is right saying it is "Has banker Goren II " --Athins 21:20, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

For some reason it is doing something similar with the new one I implemented in Fontan. It says the general is Jon Snow, when it should be Jon Paul Ogren. It has his name right for the region he is lord of though. --Athins 21:37, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
I'll have to take a look at it tomorrow. I bet the problem is with Template:FamilyLink or the call to the template. I don't think it will be too hard to fix. --Indirik 01:31, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
OK, it's worse than I thought. Fontan's general's name is not "Jon Paul". It's "Jon Paul Ogren". The space in the character name is throwing off the template. It's seeing the space in the character's first name (Jon Paul) and thinks the character's first name is just "Jon". So it goes to the external data feed and asks for the family name of the character "Jon", which is "Jon Snow". I don't think I can fix this. I may just have to disable to the auto-link detection for council members. Tom did mention that he might try to see if he can export the family name as well as the first name as part of the realm data feed. We'll see if he's able to do it. --Indirik 03:23, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
I have disabled the automatic family link for council members. Spaces in names screws up a LOT of things. --Indirik 12:46, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Capital

If the realm name and capital is the same then the capital is display as unknown. can something do to correct that? also two region are not suppose to be in oritolon's realm box.

  • The Oritolon region page was in the wrong location. The "(Region)" naming convention was abandoned soon after it started, and some have not been fixed yet. I have a couple others to move, too.
  • The capital city can only be detected if that region is tagged as the capital of the realm. You have the property [[capital of::(realmname)]] to that region page. I will add it to the Oritolon page.
  • The regions picked up as part of the realm are based on the semantic data. Unfortunately that does not update properly yet. Tom is working on a way to fix that. When he comes up with a final solution, then it will be updated dynamically.

If every region got a region infobox that put the region into categorie:regions and put it in the right continent subcategories. Can't we get it to further define it to a realm subcategories(or a new concept whichever work better) and poll that to get part of the realm? The only problem will be that it create a new page every time a new realm is founded. --Mero 02:36, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
