I'm a sucker for this city now. --Aerywyn 10:29, 17 April 2009 (UTC) what? --Vecchioratto 10:30, 17 April 2009 (UTC) It's slang. Means I like Rettleville.

o ok... thanks!

Page Layout

This page design really needs fixed. That city graphic is way too large, and even obscures the lower part of the wiki navigation boxes. Please resize the graphic to a more reasonable size, so it fits within the normal content area of the page. Also, you should find a way to place it so that it does not overlap any other content, such as the "Duchies and Regions" box. --Indirik 13:05, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

Ok i will do... but only one thing... maybe i use to large and wide high res screen (i had 21" and 22" set on 1680x1050), because here at work and even at home i see all right, just the landscape is a inch too long... but all have the right space... the crest top right, the text in the middle, the infobox in the top left, the landscape in the bottom and under it the duchy template... so i will reduce the landscape dimension... but you have to guide me... because i see all right on my screen. sorry. --Vecchioratto 13:19, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

I have limited the image size to 600 pixels, which should be enough for anyone not on an iphone. It will still look different on different screens though, and may look very small on a 1680x1050 (it looks reasonable on 1280*1024). Apparently there is no way in wiki markup to specify a percentage for width, which is strange. I got the information for the markup on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_markup vonGenf 14:20, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
thanks but this way is really really really small. on my screen is small 600x200 i hope no one have still so low resolution... is unproportioned in front of the crest... --Vecchioratto 14:27, 17 April 2009 (UTC) - and the frame with subtitle cannot be placed with the markup... i will upload a smaller version maybe 800 or 1000 (aganist actual 1400) --Vecchioratto 14:31, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
You can experiment different sizes by changing the number of pixels in the source code without uploading a new picture. Just change
[[Image:Rettlevillelandscape.jpg|600px|center|''Rettleville''.]]
to
[[Image:Rettlevillelandscape.jpg|800px|center|''Rettleville''.]]
By the way, nice drawings. I take it you do these yourself? They are great. vonGenf 14:44, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
yes i tryed but with pix llimitation we cannot use frame and subtitle... so i will upload a 800px one. yes i made it, thanks. 200 gold and i make one even for your city! :P --Vecchioratto 14:47, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
Thank you, that smaller size fits much better. It now fits inside the image area, and no longer overlaps the other page elements. Keep in mind when designing pages that most people will be using screen sizes of either 1024x768 or 1280x1024. While wide-screen monitors are becoming more common, you need to make sure that your page looks good for all users. On a 1280x1024 monitor, with the browser at full-screen, the image area of the page is a maximum of about 1080 pixels with the default skin for the wiki. Anything bigger than that will push outside the page area. --Indirik 15:36, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
On Safari, it still overlaps the regionbox... --Anaris 14:30, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
