Sanguis Astroism/The Magistratum/Jonsu

Background

After Light of the Maddening Star Rabisu stepped down from his office, the Elder Council selected Medugnatos as the new Light. Luminary of the Maddening Star Jonsu felt slighted by this, since prior to the new Charter (voted into effect shortly before Rabisu's departure), Luminaries would automatically ascend to the open offices of their Lights. This incited a period of increasing antagonism between Jonsu and several of the Elders, culminating in her behavior incurring four charges in a new Magistratum against her.

The formal accuser was Constantine, at the time Luminary of the Austere, and the charges were as follows:

1. Unlawfully attempting to usurp the Office of Regent

2. Unlawfully attempting to eject the rightfully elected and appointed Elders

3. Grave slander against the Elders of the Faith

4. Heresy, particularly in the form of denial of the authority of the Holy Prophet

The Magistratum was composed of Haruspex Maximus Ekirt Thunder Strike of Astrum, High Justice Lucini Talratheon of Luria Nova, and Priest Rabisu of the Morek Empire.

Evidence

Evidence presented and discussed amongst the Magistratum consisted entirely of public messages from the accused. The entirety of this evidence remains in Church archives and is available upon request.

Verdict

Jonsu Himoura left Sanguis Astroism to create Summus_Ecclesiae_Luria before the verdict was announced; however, the Magistratum concluded in her absence, proclaiming her guilty as a heretic and upon the other three charges.
