Aldrakar Renodin

Life and Times

  • A young warrior with loose blond hair and radiant blue eyes. He was knighted by Earl Hendrick Madigan of Mattan Dews and granted the Devinian outpost estate in his service. Soon he was awarded the position of Steward of the earl and worked to combat the beasts and many monsters of the land. During this time he befriened Seoras Madigan Nifelleisca being a fellow Knight of the Earl.
  • After lobbying for position and learning the ways of court and higher nobility Aldrakar was supported by the Earl to petition for the Lordship of Thar Gortauth but it wasn't to be. The Duke of Sun Hall, at the time Malus Solari granted it to someone else. Aldrakar continued to lobby and eventually was rewarded by the Queen herself. Majesty Alice Arundel granted Aldrakar Lordship over the region of Sulorte, promoting him to the rank of Viscount.
  • As time passed Aldrakar made several more friends and among them were Lady Sha'shanti el Gato whom taught him some bit of warfare and Lord Xerias Turon of Mellifera, at the time also a knight.
  • Aldrakar proved to be an adept administrator and prosperity and stability reigned in Sulorte all throughout his lordship. He constructed a guildhouse to the Royal Rangers and established the first shrine to Sanguis Astroism in the region.
  • All this time since his knighting Aldrakar had been assigned to the Golden Host army. His duty was to guard the southern border of the realm from monster incursions and uprisings. He did so with conciderable zeal and on own initiative enlisted the aid of Monster hunting commoners. Eventually a group was formed and lead by a woman he met early on in his quest for prestige and recognition as a noble. Huntress Madison, a fierce woman with little to say and much to do. She spoke through action and he stance was battle at all times it seemed to him. He was both impressed, intrigued and confused by her. She led a group of 5 hunters in his name in the south of Luria Nova. All this let to his appointment of Master Rangers of the Royal Rangers, an elder position.
  • Through his satisfactory duty to the Golden Host his name was brought up by the new Duke of Sun Hall, his friend, Seoras Madigan Nifelleisca. Aldrakar was proposed to be the new Marshal of the Golden Host. He himself had never thought himself worthy or skilled enough but now that his name was mentioned he went for it. That is, he didn't say no and was mostly just humble. His friends spoke up for him without him asking them to. Seoras, Lord Saul Tarvitz, Lady Sha'Shanti el Gato, Lord Xerias Turon and probably others whom he never learned off. The Sponser of the Golden Host, Lady High Justice Lucini Talratheon whom earlier said Aldrakar was a man of Honor and Honesty appointed him not long after.
  • It was during this time that Lord Saul Tarvitz approached Aldrakar with a proposition. To establish a chivalric order with him. The Order of the White Rose. A place of Knightly virtues and high élan. Suffice to say Aldrakar agreed and is now a founding member of the Order.
  • Shortly after these events the Realm of Luria Nova was reformed in the Third Lurian Empire and received the fitting name "The Hegemony of Luria Nova". In this reform that was brought about by Suzerein Empress Alice Arundel the four Duchies of the Realm were elevated to near autonimous Kingdoms where the former dukes were reffered to as Kings or Queen. Each of these 'Kingdoms' were referred to as Halls. Aldrakar was part of Sun Hall under King Seoras Madigan Nifelleisca. The reforms stipulated that each Hall should nominate an Heir. Aldrakar was one of only 3 candicates running for this position. All Lords of Sun Hall were allowed 1 vote. Aldrakar spoke out to the members of Sun Hall praising the virtues of the two other contenders being Lord Hendrick Madigan and Lord Ezra Sypher. Aldrakar voiced openly that he would vote for Lord Ezra and did so.
  • Somewhere during this time war broke out with the Merchant Republic of D'hara. The Golden Host Aldrakar led was ordered to remain and defend the realm. The first battle was fought over Sallowtown with Lurian Forces smashing themselves against the walls and being killed by the dozens. Strangely enough there were only 6 D'haran nobles sighted and a veritable horde of militia archers. After this failed assault Lurian forces recuperated and claims were laid on Girich by the Duke of Sallowtown in repairment. Days after this statement the region of Nebel revolted against her overlords and went rogue. Shortly after Port Nebel switched her allegiance to Luria Nova and was welcomed into her arms, the Duke Rurik Clarke agreed to a renaming of his Duchy to Shadovar.
  • The Election for Price of Sun Hall entered a short intermedium as the results came in. Aldrakar had won by 1 vote but there was still 1 vote to be cast by the newly appointed Lord of Vaal. A new dynasty was granted lordship over the region and yet had to cast their vote. For whom that would be cast is still cloudly though.
  • In short Aldrakar has behaved with respect, honour and dignity. He has fought fiercely and is becoming a warrior of renown. He is young still but his heart seems dutiful and diligent. Will he truely be or ever become a true Knight or will the world corrupt or wrap him into something else?
  • Since the election for Prince of Sun Hall Aldrakar continued his endeavors as Marshal that led him to run for the Position of General, or as it is known in Luria Nova: Imperial Marshal. He enjoyed the support of the Duke of Sun Hall and several other notable people in the realm. With a small margin he won the election and thus began his career as Imperial Marshal of Luria Nova.
  • In this capacity he continued the works of his predecesor, Lord Idesbald. Give liberty to the Marshals and only outline general strategy. He handed campaign goals out like projects and aided the Marshals in constructing their strategies. He worked to supply the armies with gold and reported to the realm regularly about the ongoings in the armies.
  • This style of Generalship seemed to have been well received and soon more came to trust his judgement. With Empress Alice Arundel's passing this position went to the old Lady Alanna Anaris who did not hold on to the position for all that long. A failing body and perhaps mind were her reasons but the next in line was the Duke Seoras, his old friend.
  • With Emperor Seoras on the Imperial Throne Aldrakar enjoyed a great amount of freedom and support in the realm. It took quite a while to adjust to but he is finally getting more used to this elevated amount of respect he is receiving. True to his ideas of chivalry he tries to live and instill these virtues in others.
  • Aldrakar's first real test as Imperial Marshal was the ongoing war with D'hara. This culminated in the triple assault on the D'haran Capital of Qubel Lighthouse. The Might of Luria was repelled thrice and their Citadel just barely survived the onslaught. Aldrakar slew a renowned man of the Bloodstars. Ruler of D'hara and previous of the Morek Empire. A Light of the Stars, Pierre von Genf. With his flaming broadsword Aldrakar burst out of a cloud of smoke and as the two collided Pierre was gutted and died on the spot.
  • A season before the siege however Aldrakar found himself in a growing relation with the Lady Imperial Conciliator Lucini of Giask. A woman he had met before several times but mostly through letters. A romance was nurtured between the two and some soldier that survived the Siege of Qubel Lighthouse say that only his love for Lucini enabled Aldrakar to surive the wounds and danger he faced. The war had kept the two apart for a far too long time.
  • Aldrakar had been approached by several true knights, men of virtue and chivalric renown. They told him they deemed him ready to take the vows of a Cavalier. This he considered carefully but in his heart he had already decided.
  • Years passed and Aldrakar saw 3 terms of Imperial Marshal, all of which were consecutive and with full support from the Realm. It came to an end when the War in D'Hara, a war of conquest was interrupted by a massive monster invasion. The entire west of Dwilight was overrun with hordes of beastmen. Legions and Hordes of the creatures crushed out all human occupation and many Kingdoms and realms fell or fled. During this time Aldrakar was abducted. After a battle in Shinnen Purlieus against beastmen Aldrakar emerged victorious with his Shieldguard but then a band of masterless men came.
  • Like vultures preying on a weak target, the Shieldguard was broken and Aldrakar himself also spend. The crossbow bolts ripped through the remaining ranks and with maces did heads get caved in or men brought to forceful sleep. It was a dark time where Aldrakar was held by a man called Galvin, a rogue captain and a pirate and sometime smuggler. He took Aldrakar to the South Divides and stored him in a ruined but repurposed keep. Somewhere in those mountains Aldrakar was visited by hunger, torture, humiliation and worse.
  • A year or more passes this way and Galvin learned that his plan was going to fail, Aldrakar could not be ransomed for a princely sum for there was nearly no gold left in Luria! The beastmen hordes had ruptures the fabric of society also in Eastern Dwilight and the realms were battling for survival. There was no coin left to spend on Aldrakar. Not that he himself was aware.
  • One fateful day Aldrakar managed to escape, overpowered a lax tormentor and brutally killed any that he encountered in that infernal keep. He arrived in Askileon a beggar and was beaten by the gate guards as he tried to appeal to them. Eventually his Seal Ring as Imperial Marshal saved him and the slow process of restoration began for him.
  • He was made Lord of Garuck Udor, in the then war torn region of Sun Hall. Barca of the west had invaded and taken his old lands. Aveston was now the Pygmy Capital of their realm. D'harans fought alongside Barcans and Luria held them at the gates of Shinnen.
  • Aldrakar slowly regained strength but learned that his wife, the Lady of Giask and Imperial Conciliator had died! He did not believe it at first and went looking, asking and found nothing. His two sons survived, Aldrakar II and Asher. They were some 3 years old now and were healthy.
  • Weeks passed and turned into months. Aldrakar fought with the armies against the Southern League. Rekindled relations and soon found himself a Vice Marshal of the Lurian Home Guard. During this time he made his vows as a Cavalier and promised not to seek vengeance against those that had captured and tortured him. His vows still survive to this day but are stored in a different book than this one.
  • Cavalier and Vice Marshal and Lord Garuck Udor did Aldrakar style himself now and he was included in the Imperial Military Council and the Imperial Diplomatic Corps. He voiced his claim for Giask as he learned that the Asylon of the West had claimed in and were no friends of Luria anymore. Politics had shifted considerably since last he was part of Luria.
  • Months later were armies from the Southern League engaged and Beaten, not a single one lost. The Morek Empire declared a surprise war and attacked the city of Poryatown with a highly specialized army of army elites (SF heavy). They were beaten by an equal army and ground to dust. The commanders of Luria opted to retake Giask and restore what was then the Capital of Asylon back to the Lurian Empire. It took a fall and a winter combined. Giask was returned to Lurian rule and Aldrakar was granted Lordship by the Emperor himself.
  • Having been able to spend time with both his sons during the take over Aldrakar taught them what he could and loved them all he had to love. A friend in the Lady Evelyn, Queen of Fissoa helped Aldrakar II, the eldest of the two son to overcome his fear of black horses by gifting him an Exquisite Black Horse toy. Aldrakar the father was immensely grateful for this act of Kindness.
  • The House Kildare proposed a marriage between Aldrakar and Sibylla, he refused politely as the King Waldor of Fissoa had suggested a potential union between Aldrakar and the Duchess Reina of Irvington. Something that was perilously fragile and Aldrakar did not know her.
  • The month after Giask was retaken did the Lurian forces also retake Irvington and with it most of the prestige from Lady Reina. Aldrakar had been working towards a peace with the Southern League as a special Ambassador with Imperial Authority. It proved not enough as the King Waldor refused it. Details are sketchy but this is how Aldrakar claims it.
  • Shortly following did the Imperial Magistrate lay down his titles to become a Knight of Giask but before he could give his oath he fell ill and died of a strange malady. Aldrakar supported the appointed of Lord Saul Tarvitz but the Emperor surprisingly appointed Aldrakar himself. This is the life of Aldrakar Renodin, all before he even turned 30.
  • That is where Aldrakar stands now, his story yet to grow longer.

Gomrin Renodin

  • The brutish and predatorial man with a big beard and broad shoulders. A mean fighter and a man of few fancy words and more of blood and grime. Currently the Baron of Lugrethen of the duchy of Sandefur in the realm Thalmarkin.
  • First arrived in Thalmarkin in late winter and offered the Duke of Unger his axe in service. Together with Duke Dunbor Lorganson he drank from Overlords horns and they discussed the matter. Not long after Gomrin gave his oath to the Duke and was granted Blackwatch Keep as his estate.
  • Not many weeks later the Duchess of Sandefur called for worthy knights to speak up for a chance to become a lord of the realm. Gomrin spoke up, he spoke plainly and said he knew little of administration or laws and didn't care about how many coins the lands gave him. He offered blood and service in exchange for land. She accepted and granted him the lordship over Lugrethen, making Gomrin a Baron.
  • Many days or weeks even were spend roaming the Thalmarkian lands in search of Monsters to kill, heads to bash and limbs to hack. Gomrin was a prowling predator of the lumbering variety. People started to gorw fond of his brutish ways it seems and treat him with kindness, a concept he still finds weird.
  • Gomrin is a member of the The Legion of the Wolf and for now a monster hunter who leads a large band of tough men, ex-bandits and backstabbing bastards.

Tordan Renodin

  • A giant of a man with light brown eyes and long brown hair. Barrel chested and bull necked. this man towers over many others but currently is often misunderstood and mocked for his size. He started out in the far north-east of Dwilight, in the Liberto Empire but traveled all the way to Asylon where he resides now. Rumour had it he found a legendary helm, something something Vulcano. Last seen on the west coast of Asylon running after a horde of joyfully cheering children while he was wearing a mask resembling a comical monster.
  • Word has it Tordan lost the enchanted helm again, it isn't clear where or how but that its gone is certain. He still frequents Asylon but a large man the size of an oak is said to be traveling further north.

Andrin Renodin

  • A man of letters and deep thought. At least he tries to and is far from as brutal as his relative Gomrin or as chivalrous as Aldrakar but he is all for efficiency, determination and knowledge. He joined the realm of Silnaria at a time when it is at war and he is urged to pick up the sword immediately.
  • Spending some time in the realm of Silnaria Andrin was accepted by the Margravine of Anost. A certain Lady Arke. She was said to be mad and tortured her subjects just for the fun of it. He quickly learned she cared not for words, money or lives. She cared for pleasure and for extremes. After some discussion between Arke and Andrin she granted him half of her domain to rule over and this made him quite wealthy for a knight.
  • It wasn't long though before a rebellion broke out. The Royal Spymaster banded together with several other reputable members of the realm with a quest to overthrow, peacefully or otherwise the King, Merlin Silverfire. Andrin was unsure who to side with and the Spymaster had merely told him to follow suit when he offered her his services to the realm. When the rebellion became public however Andrin did not follow suit and instead chose to follow Lady Arke who incidentally was also the High Justice of Silnaria.
  • Lady Arke Opted Neutrality and so did Andrin. He watched the massacre in Barad Falas as the Loyalists butchered the rebelles. It rattled him a little but also formed him further into a merciless man who cared more for efficiency and less for compasion.
  • In the aftermath of the rebellion the Loyalists victorious the realm was truly sundered. Half of the government and council was exiled, many dead and the army all but destroyed. Enemy realms all around and the Prince of Silnaria, Claudius demanding his status as High Justice back. It fell on deaf ears and anger brooded. Andrin defended his Liege lady with words and letters against her attackers and gained respect from both advesary and ally for his intelligently worded defence.
  • In the end it was all for nothing though, Lady Arke was stabbed and mortally wounded. She lost position and the King was about to abdicate, leaving the Prince in power perhaps. With open threats crossing the public eye of the realm Lady Arke choose to laugh in the face of danger and defected with her region of Anost to the realm of Eston. Andrin was in tow and received a letter form Lady Arke that he was free to do as he wanted. A second letter he received he learned that Lady Arke believed that the gods were recieving her and that she would stand in their mids as the greatest of gods. She would send him her worldly possesions she wrote and he was getting very clear evidence that she mad indeed, truly have been mad. This didn't matter to him though, she did right by him and he was off to another realm.
  • Andrin traveled north and pondered the question how he should remember Lady Arke. Perhaps present her as some Godess of Pleasure? She certainly would be pleased with that he thought to himself.
  • After spending a season of two in the realm of Darka he had joined its faith, Darkanism and found a liege to serve. It became obvious however that this was not the realm he truly wanted to serve. He found it a cold place dereft of the things he sought after.
  • Finding himself entangled in two massive battles on the side of Darka against the Cagilan Empire Andrin commanded a company of archers. Two battles won be the third saw him without soldiers and he was captured by the Empire. A fortune in gold on his person he awoke in a Dungeon cell. To his surprise he wasn't robbed and neither tortured. The Judge of the Empire a man called Mighty Toff was eminently gracious towards Andrin and this ultimately made Andrin decide to join the Empire. Judge Toff urged Andrin to reconsider and released him to allow Andrin to truly choose on his own.
  • This Andrin did and he quickly traveled down to the Empire lands and joined them. He came to serve the Lord and Duke of Skalk. A small city on the southern border of the Empire. In his time in the Empire he became a Courtier and set to work improving the administration of the various cities, there were lots of cities in the Empire.
  • This is where Andrin's road has led him so far. He has plans, ideas and ambition but what will come of it all?

Arnick Renodin

  • A bald, towering man with a mean streak to him. Of all the masculine born to the Renodin Dynasty does this specimen stand out for his natural strength, large build and innate cruelty. Where years of martial training and upbrining have forged a colossus of destruction does he often use his power to torment, to hurt and to rain death and misery on all around him.
  • He came to prominence in the Ancient kingdom of Perdan. It was a realm struggling for survival and every sword was accepted. Arnick's sword was larger than most and not just because he favored the great-sword. Cutting a bloody path through the ranks of elfs from the north did Arnick fight his way to Knighthood and received an estate in the Duchy of Ubend, in the lands of Eldoret.
