Although a member of the House Gryphonheart, Edmund is not a direct heir to Elgorn and his heritage. For many years Edmund was a close friend and a scribe of Tristan and has many times assisted Tristan in his childhood. During Tristan's service in Osaliel he decided to repay his long time companion and has thusly rewarded Edmund by knighting him and accepting him to the House Gryphonheart as a noble.

He has dark brown eyes, short brown hair and a slightly reddish mustache followed by a short beard. He avoids brutal steel weapons which is why he usually is most comfortable with a bow and arrows. He rides a sorrel which is very powerful and gives a certain security to Edmund on the battlegrounds and on the roads and streets he passes. Spending entire of his life as a scribe and a writer Edmund has continued to so under the banner of the House Gryphonheart. He is generally not very enthusiastic about battles, but is rather drawn towards the arts of trade, buerocracy and writing in general. Gold is dear to Edmund and the power to make a man do something without the use of brute force is something that he finds fascinating.

Shortly after Tristan departed the Far East Edmund remained as the only family representative on that continent, and has traveled to the north to join the illustrious ranks of Ohnar West as a knight of Sasrhas. In Sasrhas he encountered the religion of Adghar and immediately converted to her church. To Edmund, Adgharhinism seemed so deeply rooted in the lands, culture, tradition and habits of those areas that he simply felt it wrong to worship something else. Few days later Edmund won the referendum for the Lordship of Upasael, a scarcely populated badlands region which surprisingly yielded a lot of gold, which was a great surprise to him and probably everyone else at least considering his short time in the realm and his young age. His ascendance was praised from the rest of the family, and Upasael served as a center of his power and the power of the family on the Far East for many years to come.

Eventually, Edmund decided to retire from the active service and returned back to Poryatown, secluding himself in chronicling the history and serving his House in a more direct way.

Crest and Signature

Edmund banner.jpg

Edmund's crest is perhaps the strangest and most different from the original colors and symbols of the House Gryphonheart. Purple, the color of the Emperors, is vastly dominating the crest, while a strangle looking gryphon, which very much resembles a dragon, is holding a star in a shield. Obviously, many of these symbols have been adopted and influenced from the culture of the Far East and the purple color remains a mystery since it never was a part of any Gryphonheart heraldry, and has even been interpreted as a color of mystery by some members within the House.
Edmund's signature is unusual but simple. He has a peculiar habit of signing his letters by the places from where he sends them. As such, whether he is in the white towers of a bustling city or on the green and fertile fields of a small rural community, Edmund will mention them in his signature.
