The End of Springdale? December 18, 2008
Today Duke Sammael Haines of Springdale declared his duchy's allegiance to Morek. This move leaves the once mighty empire of Springdale with only it's capital of Nifelhold. Surrounded now by enemies, and with little left to aid him in fighting, it looks like it might be the end of Springdale and of Emperor Neel. What started as the revolt of one duchy, has turned into the breaking of an empire. Morek has quickly become the most powerful realm on the continent.

Many questions are left. How did things turn so greatly against Neel? Why wasn't Neel simply replaced as his predecessor was? What will happen to the Order of Seven inside Morek? Today has proven a huge turning point in Dwilight's young history.

Everguard Rights Uprising December 10, 2008
Shortly after nightfall today, Maximus Crusader, Knight of Ygg d'Razhuul, Everguard made a call for an uprising against the current monarchy of Everguard, his cry of rebellion beginning with these words:

People of everguard i call for arms against this goverment against this church and against our queen. For she is not our queen but a puppet of the church. There for she does not rule for the betterment of the people but for the betterment of the church.

If i am to fall people will know that freemen stood here against a tyrant.

This announcement comes within a few short hours of a ban being declared against Sir Liam of the McAhava family, who had been involved in a dispute over religious freedom and oppression with the leader of the state-supported religion of Torenism, Duke Fisc of the Arylon family. Accusations of unnoblish behaviour and forced conversions to Torenism, threats against various parties and even duels have been thrown about by the involved in this dispute for more than a week at this point.

Large forces of monsters and undead have been roaming the Everguard realm now for the same period of time, and this rebellion adds a frantic note of internal strife to an already stressed situation of survival. Indeed, of the five regions Everguard holds at this time, three have notable populations of monstrosities and barrow wights terrorizing the local serfdom and their collective strength in the realm outnumbers the Everguardian military by a ratio of almost 5:2. The situation is so dire that the serfs of one of Everguard's earliest regions, Ygg d'Razhuul, are now in a brutal state of open revolt led by rogues and firebrands.
