  • History

The Actual founding of the Druids is unknown. Because records were never kept back in the old days, the actual begining is a bit sketchy.

It was rumored that long ago, over a hundred years now, a mysterious figure was born of the shadows and started a human following, teaching people a different way of life. His name was Allannon. This mysterious figure is rumored to be the Devine one in human form. He never removed his hood, his eyes were a piercing blue color, and his movements were more gracious and flowing than any other human. He showed his followers how to use potions, summon creatures, study nature and how to read the heart of man and in some cases, see into the future to get partial or half truths. He also showed them the face of Evil. Needless to say, this made his followers true believers in the Druid ways. 20 years after he started his following, he just as quickly vanished and was never seen from again.

Since then, there were 6 Master Grand Druids. After his depature, the High Druid under him stepped up and was made Master Grand Druid by the conclave. After that, each Master Grand Druid chose one predecessor.

After Allannon left, Fontane, his apprentice, organized the Druids into a more structured order. He built the first Temple of the Druids from the wealth he amassed long ago, and that stood for over 85 years until something, or someone destroyed it during the 1005 Monster Invasion. After Fontane, one of the great Druids, came Lady Caprice. She was the only female Grand Master Druid. Her skills were greater than her Masters', Fontane, but she wasn't as good a leader. Her reign was only 18 years. She was killed by a political leader which subsiquently caused the first great war of Beluaterra. The Druids, using spells and an army of Druids took over much of where Avalon and Enweil are today. Barsola, took the reigns and lead a Military Hierarchy, spending less time studying and teaching the ways of the Druids and more time running a realm. Because of that focus, the destracted Druids didn't notice the evils of the world growing in power. They were able to grow in numbers, and create their own realm. Barsola invade their realm and cast them into an alternate reality, using old spells to trap the Creatures into a Netherworld. Anchoring this spell with a Living thing (a tree), he was able to have it monitored to ensure the spell lasted, but it didn't.

When Sir Drakemon took over in the year 85 after the death of Barsola, he turned the Kingdom created by Barsola over to Politicians and returned the Druids to a smaller order, and refocused back to thier roots, where Fontane had built the first Temple. Sir Drakemon worked closely with a small group of Elves to maintain the barrier to the Netherworld, and having them keep an eye on the Colony Tree so that the evils of the Netherworld would be locked there for as long as he was alive.

It didn't last long, around the year 1000 the barrier broke down, the Monsters invaded, and the Druids were destroyed. The last one left, Arian, became the Grand Master Druid, and guarded all the secrets he could.

Arian endured several Monster invasions, each time, the Elves were able to revive the Colony Tree without the help of the Druids. But on the last invasion, the Elves were unable to complete the task, and Arain had to discover what to do. Once he was able to recreate the spell, with the help of Jessica, he returned to his home with Hector, his new trusted companion. He discovered the Temple destroyed, and decided to move back to Wilwau with Hector. Hector studied with Arian, learned some of the ancient secrets, then decided to help Arian refound the Druids. Arian, however, decided to make Hector the Grand Master Druid, and left the Order shortly before Hector built a new Temple, with his family gold.

Hector is now the current Founder and trust of the Druids past and future.
