He was gently caressing his firstborn son Thal that was nestled tightly in his wing and sheathed him with a rich furry cloak. He just arrived from the hunt in Wailing Woods where a large host of ghastly undead were finally put to the sword and tossed to the flames. The bonfire they burned them in was large, one of the largest they made in a while, and the ashes of the slain beasts were being scattered by the wind, even reaching Unger's walls.

The banners that were camped before Unger's gates were red and black. The much gossiped Sanguine Order finally found their way to Thalmarkin's capital, eager to find conscripts and levies. They hardly can afford Thalmarkin's finest warriors, Aeravon thought to himself, imagining that the journey behind them took toll on the their gold purses, provided these were affluent to begin with. He heard strange reports about these people - wizards, talking wolves and cannibalism. Likely just a scary story about foreigners, he concluded.
