Attacker Victory! 1 April 1012 Looting Reported Fontan forces have plundered and marauded in Dulbin!  Oberndorf and Greatbridge rebel against Fontan! 6 April 1012 In what is truly most welcome news for Westmoor in the stroke of a heart beat both Oberndorf and Greatbridge left Fontanese control. The region of Oberndorf rebelled the peasants actually choosing to be ruled by Sirion wasting some Fontan nobles family investment (probably the recent traitor). On top of this Greatbridge also rebelled against Fontanese rule as would be expected. Commonyr’s peasants today were also in rebellion and actually started lynching each other. Several large militia groups of peasants were murdered by rebellious peasant groups who want Commonyr to return to Westmoorian rule. Bruck has also been resisting heavily against the Fontanese scum. With Commonyr on the way out Fontan will have a food problem as well as losing access to the recruitment centres there – and this war is all about recruitment centres. The kind of damage that has been done isn’t the sort of damage that Fontan can fix overnight. This was a good day for Westmoor. Hopefully we can soon report the fall of Commonyr as well.  Hergoervik a Traitor! Joins Fontan 5 April 1012 If ruining the region of Hagley wasn’t enough Hergoervik (the previous count of Hagley) has joined the realm of Fontan and betrayed the realm of Westmoor after not fighting in a single battle to support the realm since the end of the cease fire. Upon hearing the news King Jor declared that Hergoervik was to be known as a traitor across the realm punishable by death. The following message was submitted to all members of the nobility of the realm by the lord justice: My fellow Westmoorians, Hergoervik Draekarne is hereby marked as a traitor to the Kingdom of Westmoor. After ruining the region of Hagley and plundering it for gold by running insanely high taxation rates, he has defected to Fontan. He is to be arrested on sight if he is seen and brought to justice for his crimes against Westmoor. Sir Antonious Turner Lord Justice of Westmoor The War continues! Looting across Fontan and Westmoor has continued with Fontan focusing on Bruck and Westmoor focusing on the region of Commonyr. Commonyr and Oberndorf have both been decimated by the Westmoorian column leaving Fontan with only three untouched regions in the south to support it. Let’s be frank here though; we all know Fontan’s gold comes from other places other than region income.  Casualties on both sides 3 April 1012 Due to Fontan still managing to somehow raise enough gold to have a larger army than us the tactics used by the military council have undergone a massive change noticeable in Regional news – nicknamed by this paper: Operation burn Commonyr and Oberndorf to the ground. Fontan has countered by launching a brutal takeover of Bruck which if successful could seriously jeopardise the stability of Oligarch city, effectively cutting it off from Westmoor. King Jor Tanos has written to several rulers of the continent requesting that Fontan be forced to remove Church of Ibladesh priests from its regions as several were suspected of having been used to massively speed up the 24 hour takeover of Greatbridge. On the bright side Fontan’s army has been reduced by quite a fair amount with us currently seeing only about 12,000 CS in Bruck. It’s suspected that the Fontanese war effort may finally be running out of steam. Oberndorf has suffered heavy looting from Westmoor and Commonyr is also currently undergoing similar damage. The high number of Commonyr militia was wiped out today by Westmoor's armies. Hagley receives new lord The region of Hagley has changed ownership after the peasants kicked out Hergoervik Draekarne. Hagley has been in continual decline now since January due to appallingly high taxes reducing the region’s production and moral. Those who’ve read this paper may remember the situation being mentioned back in February which we kept relatively quiet at that time. Duke Corwin has now replaced Hergoervik with Rhakanvar Schumacher as the new count. It was remarked by many in both the military council and house of lords that Rhakanvar would find it extremely difficult to do any worse than his predecessor.  Evora celebrates National Ikrif Day 1 April 1012 In what is a huge embarrassment to this newspaper we have to report that the daemon invasion reported yesterday was a complete falsehood. Yesterday and this morning it seems that the people of Evora were celebrating national Ikrif day. While generally discouraged in Westmoor the drug known as Ikrif holds an important part in the life of the Evoran people on the last day of March and the 1st day of April. While scouts reporting on the activities did indeed return with news of a thirty thousand CS daemon army they were also not wearing any clothes – a fact that in hindsight should have raised our suspicions.
