Everguard.png The Realm of Everguard Founded
What began as only a dream in the minds of a few became a reality today. A delegation of seventeen nobles united in solidarity to form a realm on the frontier of the known world, after working for over a month to achieve their goal, formerly asserted their control over the realm of Valkyrja, establishing it as the capital of the fledgling realm.

Nobles from Springdale and even some new immigrants to the continent of Dwilight have already began to join the realm, looking to face to frontier with strength and honor. Officially the realm is currently known only as "Springdale Colony" - as the founders of the realm originally came from that realm.

Now that Valkyrja has been taken, the nobles who now call Everguard home must turn their attention to several issues that require immediate attention.

First, and most important, they must decide upon a sovereign ruler to claim political power over the realm, as well as the other council positions. If the nation is to grow and prosper, its citizens can not be ruled by anarchy. Next will be the appointment of the Duke of Valkyrja - the soliders of the realm will need to repair the equipment of their men, recruit new soldiers, and maintain their units, and a rich and powerful duke will be required for that to happen.

Once those issues have been settled, Everguard will need to expand itself beyond its capital. Word throughout the realm indicates that Everguard's sights are set on the city of Gelene as its primary objective for expansion in the near future. To get to that location, they will need to occupy and take over four regions along the way.

Sources within the realm also express some concern over rumors of at least two other colonies emanating from the realm of Springdale that are aimed at regions surrounding Everguard. The infant realm will likely face challenges to its claim of manifest destiny in the west, and when that challenge comes, it may be a difficult time for the realm. Whoever ends up controlling the realm politically will most certainly have his hands full as the nation goes through its initial growing pains.

The Everguard Visionary will continue to cover the situation inside the realm in the coming days.

Everguard.png Peasants Organize Elections
After several days of waiting for the peasants of the new realm of Everguard to organize themselves and conduct proper elections for the council positions of the realm, local leaders finally began caucusing the nobles. The positions being brought to the new subjects of Everguard for their approval are that of Ruler, General, Banker and Judge. Several nobles have indicated they have a desire to serve the new realm in one of these positions. Notably, Fisc Arylon, the organizer of the Everguard delegation has publicly confirmed he shall run for the rulership of the realm - and at current he is unchallenged. The other positions have had a number of nobles declare for, and only a true election will settle the positions. The Everguard Visionary will cover the results of the elections as they come in.
