Ansopen
"Ansopen is a forested region with limited access to the modern comforts of civilized society. Our culture skews largely towards aboriginal ideals and social infrastructure. We are not unaware of the issues surrounding the realm, but most of our people are only vaguely aware of the kingdom at large, and rarely if ever think on the king or the politics surrounding the realm as a whole; we're pretty busy building new homes for new families, hunting, growing crops, and having a hell of a good time.
"Most folk in Ansopen die in their early fifties, unless they are one of the hundreds who die yearly of disease due to the relatively backwards medicinal practices which are in place in Ansopen. We don't know any better. Prior to Lady Neshdhatu's installment as magistrate, most of the folk in Ansopen kept fairly much to themselves, and the public drafts took place out of the common populace, rather than from the recently defunct warrior guilds, the Ansopen Spear Dancers and Tree Dwellers.
"The people of Ansopen celebrate decent harvests, good hunting, fertility rituals, and the changing of the seasons. Most of these celebrations look largely the same, involving the consumption of large amounts of alcoholic beverage, dancing around a bonfire, various consentual games and contests of skill, strength and wit between willing participants, and an informal pairing at the end of the evening.
"In Ansopen we have scholars, but they are largely interested in the movements of the stars, and the discerning of portents and omens.
History of Ansopen
The region of Ansopen was a former region of League of Anacan. The last local lord for the League of Anacan was Lady Neshdhatu.
Because there is still a unresolved claim from League of Anacan on the region, no local lord can be appointed at the moment.
