Rinoa is the secret daughter of Barbar Osha, whose existence was hidden from the rest of the Osha Family in order to ensure her safety. Barbar knowing fullwell just what lengths his brother, Sera Osha would go to in order to destroy him. Tragically however, it wasn't even Sera who eventually ended Barbars life, but Merciless Oritolon troops who cut him down after suffering a wound during a duel with their leader, Loki. It all proved too much for Rinoa to take in and she decided to flee to Atamara to meet up with her Uncle, Baron Malice, in the Ash Sea Islands.
