While searching for pockets of Undead in Tahgalez, Thyk Whiteblood located a camp that seemed a bit larger than usual. After dealing with those foul corpses on the perimeter of the camp, Thyk managed to hack his way to the center of the camp where he encountered the leader and Champion of the group. For what seemed like hours, the battle raged back and forth with bodies falling all around until at last, Thyk was able to fell the Champion with a swift sword strike to the back of the head.

After searching through the debris in the camp, Thyk discovered a leather bound case. Inside the case was a scroll. Thyk is only able to make out a few letters on the paper but by the aura that surrounds he realizes that it's something very special and he knows immediately who he will contact about it.

After passing through a few hands, Nicolas Chénier, a marshal and lord in Enweil, acquired it on the 18th of October as a gift from his liege, Duke Igor of Fengen, for his good services in the realm against the daimons. Though he has not been able to do much progress on it yet, evidence seems to indicate that it would not help with the destruction of the daimons as they had first hoped, but instead taught the basics of dark magic. After it being lost for a while due to rogue undead, the scroll was found once again by an enweilian adventurer who brought it back to its rightful owner, in condition much like it had been when lost (42%, +7 prestige).
