Deep in Wailing Wood, Brigid sat up out of a dead sleep. She quickly springs up to stand ready on her bedroll, she feels a low hum of energy in the air all around her. The tree branches do not move, even though Brigid felt a light wind on her face. She feels a poke in her back and spins around to face an Undead Champion, its eyes glowing red with long boney fingers stretched towards her throat. She kicks the hands away and pulls her dagger deftly from her boot and plunges it into the creature's eye socket. She goes for another kick and hits something metal. Not wasting one second she rolls through the champion's legs and throws a giant sharp rock at the top of its glowing spine, at the base of what should be a neck. The creature is stunned and Brigid runs to her bedroll, draws her sword and beheads the nasty snarling thing. As quick as a spark, the undead turns to ash. She retrieves her dagger and what looks like a round shield, circled with rubies as red as glowing embers. The shield is covered in strange symbols that spiral toward its center, with what looks like a symbol of fire at the core. Brigid is impressed with the workmanship and deems it to be the Unbreakable Buckler against Fire that she had heard tales of as a small child in the blacksmith's shop. In awe, she knows she could get gold for this treasure and quickly packs up her things to find a buyer.
