The 10 Den/The basement

Since the building’s supposed inhabitance, the cellars and all thier doors have all been barred and locked from the inside. It is assumed by a very select and criminal few that a member of the 10 has claimed the torture chamers and wine supplies for himself. Becoming Master of House Dungeons. One can only hope he shares the wine.

No one but the Master of Dungeons and those with the deed to the house really knows whats down there.

There are two stairs down into the basement - one in the kitchen, and one between the parlor and the office. The kitchen stair leads to the wine cellar, the other to the torture chamber. Both are locked and bolted from within.

If there had been a warning on the doors about the numerous and cunning traps in place, many of the 10 would have considered it a challenge, and likely died from various horrible poisons. Rather, word has been discreetly put out that this is not the treasury, put rather an alchemical workshop, and not really all that interesting.

Besides the workshop of the shadowy Uriel, the dungeon and torture chamber is also here - but while some members of the 10 are somewhat dense, none would put too much effort in breaking into a torture chamber. Sure, whippings can be recreational, but the whips in the dungeon have all been soaked in tar and rolled in broken glass.

Althalus, the other inhabitant of the basement - the one who called the torture chamber home - had altogether his own reasons for being here.
