(After entering the boundary of Kuugl from his long journey in Enweilians land, the old viscout in purple robe commands his captain to take control of the halfly fill caravans, and rode towards Grehk at all speed.

In front of the city of Grehk, Lansour quickly summon his messenger to prepare public speech in the public square outside the palace. As an esteemed member of Riombara, minor nobles, even peasants crowded in front of the temporary stage, and clapped their hands while Lansour step. They welcome him wholeheartly, as they respect him for his deeds in saving this city from complete starvation.)

Dear fellow nobles of Riombara, and citizens of Grehk,

I, Lansour Valon from the Date family, am honored to present myself in front of you all, and hereby announce myself as a candidate in the coming duke election.

I have overseen this realm for many many years, children, from the eve of darkness fell upon this continent, to the dawn when prophet of lights cleanse our land. Some of you may remember me as the former marshal, some of you may know me as the current high treasurer of the state, Lord of Ardmore and former Great Chamberlain, even former lord of Avengmil and Rii, if you survive that long, I welcome you to my house and greet you as my friend, as there's not much left in my age and know my history well. Let me remind you, I was once a knight of Rines, together with my brother Kakeru, to defend the city while it was threatened by inhumans.

Today this pearl of the islands demands a lord, not enjoy her fortune, but to accept the duty of taking care of her starving citizens. Anyone of you who have relatives in Rines should know, the food stalls there are barely operating, and citizens are forced to leave. Duke Khaludh has done a great job in fostering his children there, and now I would like to share his burden. Upon being elected as the next duke, I should leave my beloved Ardmore to young nobles with potential, and concentrate in keeping the city running. No doubt it is a difficult task that beyond your imagination, and only noble with devoted heart have a chance to overcome.

In case any of you would take the mantle of High Treasurer, please come forth and announce yourself. To ensure healthy running of our food trade system, for the moment I should intend to stay in this position as the food coordinator of the state. However, one day my body will not allow me to proceed with my job, and young noble request a chance to prove themselves, I am glad to handover.

Remember you can always have choice, either becoming the free wills on earth that never subject to the sovereignty of inhumans, or slave who beg for own survival, The choice is always yours. Use your vote well, let it speaks for you. That's the essence of our state, a place where justice and democracy lives, and this spirit is something much more important than me and even the election itself.

with respect,

Lansour Valon Date High Treasurer of Riombara, Viscount of Ardmore

I would like to keep the RP from my comrades after Kakeru's fell.

The loss of Kakeru is a true blow to our realm... His bravery and dedication to Riombara will always be remembered... how bitter an irony that he was just commenting on our army before he himself was struck down in service.
Sir Gorch Marshal of the Army of Riombara

Let us remember this day and never forget all the things Kakeru has done. He was a great help to Riombara and a fine Marshal. May he rest in peace.

My condolences Lansour Valon. Its a grave day for us all, but for you its even worse.

Marche Minister of Finances of Riombara

I wish I would have left the prisoners for what they were so I could have joined the battle and fight besides Kakeru... Now a great and valuable strategist and friend has fallen... But by all means, let us not forget Kakeru!

Arch Enemy Grand Justiciar of Riombara

On this dark day, we will mourn the hero Kakeru - true to his oath, true to his friends. He was an exemplary member of our great realm - and his memory will live on. Today Glongin was saved by his and all your bravery from our enemies - come sunrise, we will prevail!

Sir Herkan Minister of Defense of Riombara

The death of Kakeru marks one of the darkest days for Beluatarra.

May he rest in peace and never be forgotten.

My condolences to his family.

Regards

Cedric Prime Minister of Fronen

Letter from Lady Agaresh (1 day, 22 hours ago) This is a sad day to see such a one fall. Marshal Kakeru was trully a man to follow into battle and lead by example, it seems fitting somehow that he died doing just that. He will be missed by all of Riombara.

Lady Agaresh Marchioness of Avengmil

Roleplay from Delvin (23 hours, 18 minutes ago) Message sent to everyone in your realm (39 recipients) Delvin surges out of bed, ignoring the pain. "WHAT!!" he bellows.

The trembling scribe starts to stammer a reply, but Delvin overrides him. "Get out. Get out!"

His eyes flashing with grief and rage, he sits down on his bed again. Gods...Gods...Kakeru, dead...how can that be? He was the best of us...and while I lay here wounded!

His face grim with anguish, Delvin takes up his sword, a brazier, and a small pouch and stalks out of the tent. At the entrance, the head healer bustles up to him. "Prime Minister, you're not fully healed! You still have to rest!"

Delvin glares at him, and in an emotionless voice that the healer has to strain to hear, he murmurs, "One of my best men is dead. I am going to go say a prayer for him. Are you going to get in my way?"

The healer backs away from the look in Delvin's eyes, and Delvin turns and stalks off toward a nearby grove of birch trees. Once he has gone, the healer turns to two of his subordinates and speaks to them briefly. They slip away behind the tent.

When Delvin reaches the grove, he moves to a clearing in the middle of it. There, he sets up the brazier on its stand, and lays his sword in front of it on the ground. Taking flint and tinder from his belt pouch, he lights the brazier, and begins to sing softly.

A warrior has fallen in the night; Raise his soul up to the stars. Let him come to the eternal light Freed from strife and mortal wars.

Now let the trees undying shelter him; By the stream of life he'll lie, In the realm where light shall ne'er grow dim The realm where death itself shall die.

From the pouch he brought, Delvin takes a pinch of powder and tosses it into the brazier, turning the flame to a brilliant white. Taking up his sword, he draws it and holds it high, reflecting the pure white flame. Tears stream down his cheeks as he calls out into the night:

"Kakeru Date, Warrior and Hero of Riombara: these woods and hills shall ever remember your name, and the Sun shall ever shine upon the place where you fell."

Before the echoes of his voice have died, the flame goes out, and with it, Delvin's strength vanishes. He falls to his knees, leaning on the hilt of his sword. Quickly, the two healers appear from the trees behind him, one supporting Delvin on his shoulders, the other gathering Delvin's sword and brazier.

Delvin says not a word as they take him back to the tent and put him in his bed, but his face is still wet with tears.

Sir Delvin Prime Minister of Riombara

(OOC: posted by Marc J on the RP-list; I'm passing it on here)

Delvin, his strength sapped from his wounds, falls in, and out, of conciousness... and, during the process, a strange sensation comes over him. It is certainly not of this world, nor anything he ever felt before: but, oddly, it feels somewhat familiar. Almost as if from a time, long ago - a happier time, a more unified time.

"Delvin, Delvin, Delvin..." A man's voice murmurs into the darkness, (or is it lightness? Things, sensations... everything is changing, indistinct) "One of our best men has joined the Beyond... you call it, I believe, the Light; it is known by many names, and will be known by all. True, friends - and then enemies - we where in life... but know that Irombro's Marshall shall not be forsaken. We shall wait... until all our time is up and then we will be together again."

As the first rays of morning filter through Delvin's tent flap, a sense of - not quite peace, but still something good - comes to Delvin.

Whether it was a dream or not... is for the Priests to say.

(OOC from Marc: Surprised even me to see that Kakeru's dead... only tribute I could give him.)
