With but 5 days remaining in the month since Darka declared war on RedSpan, not a single Darkan soldier has been seen within a dozen leagues of the edges of Goatdom. One suspects that this must mean that a Darkan declaration of war is meaningless. I suppose then, that killing Darkan council members, while certainly neither legal nor honorable, is not an action that is punishable by Darka. Money must be involved or no one in Darka cares. Humbly submitted, Dabug Habap (--Habap 22:21, 12 December 2006 (CET))

Aye, but in truth, while claiming to pursue gold as their primary motive is bad enough (for a noble), Darka's motivations are more whimsical and barbaric. If it was gold they truly desired, their traders would be famous throughout Atamara, feeding the peoples of the world and profiting greatly from it. Instead, they prefer to raise expensive armies, rape and kill peasants, and have those armies smashed into dust and their nobles rotting in prison. History has already shown they make war without declaring war, and they make war without need of a contract or gold. Thus they are like a wild compass, swinging this way and that.
