History
Mikara hails from her family estate within the borders of Sirion on the East Continent. It was her father's final wish upon his deathbed for Mikara to carve a prosperous life for herself outside the influences of the Tahlim name. With nothing more than a pittance of gold and a small personal guard assigned to her from her father's best men, Mikara set sail across the great sea to the East Continent, finally coming into port in the realm of Cathay.
She went to work in service to Lord Anatole Brandon as Dame of Isular. With her guiding hand and show of ambition she helped bring Isular into a state of prosperity while the army of Cathay was left fighting a war far away from the homefront leaving few to keep the local regions in check. Mikara spent time pledging service to nearly every region of Cathay. Fighting beast and daemon in time as they rose up against the realm's populace. It was a time of great pride, but also of great sorrow as Mikara found her drawn continuously back towards the region of Zarimel which without proper knights to serve it and with an over-worked Lord was in danger of succeeding from the realm entirely. Mikara placed a great deal of work into the area up until she was called back by her Lord to serve in Isular for an extended period of time all the while watching in helpless sorrow as Zarimel drifted deeper into disorganized chaos.
It was not long after this point that the previous Lord of Zarimel stepped down from his post leaving the position open and forcing Zarimel even deeper into frustration. Mikara wept for the people she tried so hard to pacify and saw a way she could be of service to them while simultaneously fulfilling the promises she had made to her father. She pledged an oath of fealty to Duke Brian Hawkeye, as Viscountess of Zarimel and was finally able to give Zarimel the attention she thought it deserved, bringing the area into an ever-present prosperity within the duchy of Anacan.
