Nidhogg's Mark Rebellion
Blank.png This week, the recently taken region of Nidhogg's Mark has rebelled against the might of The Empire. Sources within the region confirm that a few lesser nobles incited the peasants to revolt, taking advantage of the clerical mistake that temporarily ousted The Emperor and other top officials from their seats of power.

Apparently, the lesser nobles felt that the top rungs of The Empire being absent from power would give them enough time to return the region to their control. Roughly 1 day after the mistake that lead to the officials being temporarily ousted from power, the lesser nobles incited a riot in the small town on the outskirts of the region called Bartian. By the next day the revolt had spread to the region capital, and the peasants stormed the estate of the local lord, Joash Hammarson, and forcibly removed him from power.

The lesser nobles of the region quickly began to fortify their power. Feeling safe that they had ousted the local lord, and that the top offices were vacant, they put the next part of their plan into action. Roughly 24 hours after the local lord was removed, the peasants of Nidhogg's, at the urging and design of a few lesser nobles, declared the region independent from The Empire.

For roughly 3 days the region has been independent. As this article is being written, The Sword and Shield, along with other soldiers from the realm, are en route to the rogue region. Very shortly these unruly peasants, and their noble manipulators, will have to answer for their unspeakable actions. It is only a matter of time before the region is returned to The Empire.

General/Duke Falls ill
Blank.png Healers today within the capital of The Empire announced that the mysterious sleeping sickness that has beset the nobles of Dwilight since they arrived on the untamed continent, has once again claimed a high official of The Empire. Adjunct of The Empire's armies, Duke of The Empire's capital, Nifelhold, Sir Alfred Osha, has fallen ill due to the strange malady.

The Adjunct had not been seem from as of late, and many worried over his condition. Most feared the dreaded sickness had once again struck, and all hoped it had not. However, shortly after night fell as of the Seventeenth of May, the healers that were working behind closed doors with the Duke made an announcement. They had done everything they could to help the good Adjunct, but there was nothing they could do, Alfred Osha, had the dreaded sleeping sickness.

The shock sent a ripple through the armies, that one so high could be captured by this sickness. However, The Empire is sure to survive and thrive, just as the now sleeping Adjunct would wish.

The Emperor is currently deciding who shall be the next Duke of Nifelhold, and who shall be the next Adjunct of The Empire. Whether it shall be the same person filling both posts as it was in the past is yet to be seen. At the time of this article being written, Viscount Harthur Carver is the only noble to have openly requested either position, he seeks the office of Adjunct of the armies. Only time will tell who The Emperor shall put in such an important role to the survival and prosperity of The Empire.

Nidhogg's Mark Rebellion is Almost Over
Blank.png Last week, the recently taken region of Nidhogg's Mark rebelled against the might of The Empire. Sources within the region confirmed that a few lesser nobles incited the peasants to revolt, taking advantage of the clerical mistake that temporarily ousted The Emperor and other top officials from their seats of power.

The Sword and Shield is now in Nidhogg's Mark, taking back control for The Empire. Throughout the region, the soldiers of The Empire are showing the peasants the price for revolt. Reports indicate that around 10 lesser nobles have been killed so far, along with an unknown number of meaningless commoners.

All minor villages of the region are now back under control and the Sword and Shield, as well as a few units from other armies, are forming up to take back the lord's estate, where the leaders of the rebellion are hiding. From the hostility being shown by the soldiers of The Empire, it is clear that a rebellion of this kind will never be tolerated. It is expected that the rebels will be dead, and the region back under control, in only a few days.

Nidhogg's Mark once again taken by The Empire
Blank.png Nine days after the successful plot of a few lesser nobles within the region of Nidhogg's the region was retaken by Empire forces. Lead by the then current Marshal of The Sword and Shield, Malgar Bellmon, the region fell 3 days after the start of the takeover. Most of the lesser nobles that instigated the revolt were found within that 3 day period of reclamation. All of the nobles that were caught were summarily hung in the square of the regions capital.

It has now been 3 days since the region was reclaimed by The Empire and the region is continually coming more and more under the sway of The Empire. The previous lord of the region, who was removed from power, has been reinstated by The Emperor as Viscount of the region. Viscount Joash Hammarson is currently in the region holding court on a daily basis to bring the regions rebels under control. This along with the police action of many of the soldiers that helped in the takeover, as lead to the region already being firmly under the control of The Empire. Now it is just a matter of time as the region slowly rebuilds itself, and more fully welcomes The Empire.
