It wasn't long after Sirion had successfully taken over Karbala city that its forces moved westward. At first the forces seemed to ignore Fontan city, as they moved past it and continued west to An Najaf. However, after a quick and decisive battle there, the Sirion forces then abruptly double-backed and attacked Fontan city.

It was a clean victory.

Of note is that the "Elf Butcher" Lady Gabriella, so-called due to her infamy for torturing Sirion nobles, was wounded during this engagement by Sir Talius Valorian.
