Erik Eyolf Serpentis
The Favorite of the Gods

In Sirion, some days ago...

Erik Eyolf Serpentis, grandson of Viktoria Eyolf Serpentis and Einar Arthursen. Son of Sigrid Eyolf Serpentis and Aerandir Naeskyin. Nephew of Nesrah Serpentis, the man that robbed more food of Fontan than any other could do. Erik was born in matriarchal traditions and he loves Elune as he love young ladies. As he love the wine. As he love the battle.

Erik arrived to assume the place of Nesrah, and Nesrah was a strange and greedy man. He struggled in realms that don't exist anymore. He was an Immortal. He made some bureaucratic work and robbed a lot of food of Fontan in times of peace. He was the first man that really enriched the family. He became a fat and rich man, but he was just a Knight of Dolmbar and just one more face in the crowd. The peace makes this with the man. Who is not tested by the war doesn't have a name. And Erik knew that. And to be better than Nesrah he would have to be a great warrior.

In the beginning Erik thought about the shades and the night. In the crows that Elune uses to carry messages. Erik thought about being an Infiltrator. But the ladies of the destiny weave tissues and the destiny belongs to them. First he marched to Dolmbar with the Stormwalkers and swore loyalty to Lord Richard Expatriate. If Nesrah had left, Erik should assume the oath. Few days later Lord Richard died in a battle. He was a hero. Die is the destiny of all, but a hero lives for the death. And through a voting Erik won the right of governing Dolmbar. A title of Count and an oath with Duke Circle.

Dolmbar, that Erik made one of the richest regions of Sirion, behind just of the cities and townlands. Where the women pick strawberries and grapes in the wonderful green fields. Dolmbar is as a beautiful and lustful girl. And she was the first woman for who Erik fell passionate in the knees. Elune lives and hunts in the forests of Dolmbar. Valuable warriors grow in Dolmbar. How could I can describe the love that Erik have for Dolmbar?

Erik was in Sirion. He has just ordered that Captain Karl, the best Captain of Sirion, will hire the services of some Sirion Templars to do part of Stormwalkers. Eleven men were now forty again. And could be more, but Erik seemed satisfied. The equipment was being repaired and the warrior, not so younger after so many battles and duels, walked and ordered the scribe to bring an lute. He didn't know how to play very well, but he knew how to scratch the strings. It was part of the learning of a nobleman. Erik walked alone and sat down in a garden, in one of the central squares of the Capital. And he played and sang:

My girl, my girl, don't lie to me

Tell me where did you sleep last night

In the pines, in the pines

Where the sun don't ever shine

I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go

I'm going where the cold wind blows

In the pines, in the pines

where the sun don't ever shine

I would shiver the whole night through

Her husband, was a hard working man

Just about a mile from here

His head was found in a road

But his body never was found

My girl, my girl, don't lie to me

Tell me where did you sleep last night

In the pines, in the pines

where the sun don't ever shine

I would shiver the whole night through...

That was an old song that he listened in Dolmbar. Some workers sang while they came back from the fields after the hard work. A good music. The rhythm was dragged and slow. And on that moment the ladies of destiny were scheming new webs.

Erik marched in wars against Fontan and against the Sultanate. Erik was Marshal and a great Second in Command of the Army of Sirion. By the gods, Erik was even the Judge of Sirion. But his behavior is inconstant and terrible. His ways are sharp as the sheet of the swords. He face duels. Won and lost. But he fight! And in all moments he was tested, because he sat down in the Council of Sirion. He was benevolent, distributing gold and silver bracelets for good Kinghts. It is waht a Lord should do. He is due benevolent and respected by his Knights. And Erik is a great warrior. An example. An Cavalier. The Favorite of the Gods!!!

(OOC: That RP was a farewell... but now perhaps is just a recommencement! The music that appears in RP is the version of Leadbelly - Where did you sleep last night. A more recent version was recorded by Nirvana. But Leadbelly is deeper... and it sends at the times of the Great Depression. Very good! )
