The Crown of Aienheint

Erik stopped on the west bank of the Sirion River in Montijo. The boat was waiting for him and the crossing was quiet. Soon he was entering the temple, leaving the servants to undress and cover him with the ceremonial robe. He was furious. The weakness has always irritated him. For a moment he thought that he preferred the Duke that asked him to torture in the past instead of the Duke who now wanted to show the kind and generous "civility" of his craziest fantasies. When he stood before one of the many statues, he stopped. He can not saw there the same image he saw in the statues of Dolmbar, Trinbar or any other region where he was famous. The age had made him more obstinate.

Erik Eyolf: "I'm sure he can offer me more than geisha and good duels. Let's see if meditation can work."

However, Erik would not take the luxury of months just... meditating. He went down by tortuous corrdiros until where a fountain of hot water filled the chamber with steam. He relaxed there until the useless anger faded away. Soon an enjoyable idea took his mind. The changes were always intense. A snake changing its skin. The meditation had worked and the temple had enough time to greet him. In a moment he was in the main hall surrounded by priestesses the with the High Priestess staring at him with a snake meandering around her hips and arms. A priestess made his presentation:

Your Sacred Majesty, Aienheint, Lord of the Silver Fountain, Ruler of the Marble Castle.

Sovereign of the House of Serpentis,

Sultan es-Selatin,

Ambassador of the Elven Republic,

War Judge and Silver Dragon of Sirion,

High Commander of the Silver Legion and Arch Priest of the Sacred Grove,

Protector of the Temples of Avamar, Trinbar and Dolmbar,

Duke of Avamar and of all the neighbouring regions, Margrave of the Holy City of Avamar, Margrave of Trinbar, Count of Dolmbar and conqueror of many foreign lands.

High Priestess: "You will have one day to retire your sword and solve your worldly affairs. Tomorrow you will rise. Your old life ends here."

Erik smiled as he accepted the silver crown of Aienheint. It's time to live Sirion in another way.
