The Banquet
Part V - He Wants to Hear

After some words inspired by a great love by Elune, Erik allowed his guests sat at the table. A majestic and refined table with a variety of the finest delicacies available to a wealthy and powerful noble.

He didn't fail to notice the beautiful women who were with him that night after accepting his invitation. The twin sisters had a pure joviality and were a startling surprise. Something that the Judge of Sirion had never seen before. Could the Goddess share identical bodies? A portion of Her divinity in two women with similar beauty and unique souls? A proof of staggering power.

Lady Leoma seemed a bit uncomfortable in her dress. Erik understood this naturally. He also had to get used to leave his wonderful armor to wear the costumes of a Judge. They were warriors. And although the dresses was beautiful ones, he was able to see those beautiful women warriors. But that night they had to fight with the silverware.

The employees came through a side door to serve the guests and the host. First, they served a salad of edible flowers, strawberries and grapes brought from a former estate in Dolmbar. The wine also came from the region previously ruled by the Judge of Sirion. The best he had in his cellars. The flavors were delicious.

Erik Eyolf: "I know you must be very curious about my invitation. And this will certainly be a special night. I am especially interested in what you have to say about Sirion. I could use this opportunity to make a good impression. But I will not tell my tales. I want to hear what you have to tell me. Yours aspirations, desires and dreams. The goddess lives in you. And I want to hear what the Goddess can tell from your perspectives. Enjoy the food. Be not impressed with this house and with your host. Speak freely. This is Freedom House."

Erik let them think about the opportunity he offered. He let them feel the taste of the grapes, flowers and strawberries. And while this was happening, the bard left the shadows to sing.

Desperate and broken

The sound of a fight

Father has spoken

We were the Kings and Queens of promise

We were the victims of ourselves

Maybe the Children of a Higher Goddess

Between Heaven and Hell

Heaven and Hell

Into your lives

Hopeless and Taken

We stole our new lives

Through blood and pain

In defense of our dreams

We were the Kings and Queens of promise

We were the victims of ourselves

Maybe the Children of a Higher Goddess

Between Heaven and Hell

Heaven and Hell

The age of man is over

A darkness comes and all

These lessons that we've learned here

Have only just begun

We are the Kings

We are the Queens

The bard's voice was impressive. He strummed a lyre as his voice filled the hall. Erik watched his guests while savoring some strawberries.

Erik Eyolf: "We are the Kings and Queens of this lands. The enemies grew and took our lands. We fought. We have suffered losses and I was there. I saw the fall of the White Tree. We struggle against the scimitars. I saw the treachery of a honored enemy. I want to hear what you have to say about it. I know you've arrived in the chaos of this war. And I want to know what you think and feel. You carry the Goddess I worship. You are the fountain of life. Make me believe why we are fighting. Tell me..."

The Judge of Sirion wanted to hear. He wanted to know. He loved what was sacred in his beautiful warriors. He followed the Path of Elune and was wondering what the true Swords of Elune had to sing.

Erik Eyolf: "Today you are the Goddess' voice. You are the Sirion's voice. I want to hear."
