Commemorating the Birthday

Somewhere in the fields of Pedrera a small ceremony happened. The fourteen survivors were with the Captain Karl, one a scribe and two banners. They formed a circle around of some bodies wrapped in mortuary woven. The first hours of the day. The wind blew strong and some thunders greeted the Stormwalkers.

Erik arrived a little later he met with his soldiers. He brought with him a litlle girl. Erik paid a coin of gold for her parents, because he found that her voice was beautiful and he wanted that her sing a song. The music was not very difficult of learning.

While the girl sang, the soldiers prayed quietly. The banners played their flutes in a funereal tone. Erik caught a torch and approached of the warriors' bodies that lost the life in the battlefield. The fires dispersed for the bodies and it grew in the direction of the gray sky. A simple ritual to give the companions' soul for the Thunder, the furious essence of the skies. Erik thanked the girl and gave her one more coin of gold. She was not long in running again to the parents' house. The group continued observing the fire there for some time.

Erik Eyolf: "In the last battles we lost some youth recruits and old brothers in arms. But we are alive and we were victorious once again. Our revenge will be to kill one more portion of enemies and order them to the Underwolrd!"

Stormwalkers: "For Sirion!!! Long live to Lord Erik Eyolf Serpentis, the Lizard King!!!"

Erik Eyolf: "Our dead companions cannot complain. I am sure that they died with the memory of our last commemoration in Dolmbar. Elune will reward them with beautiful nymphs! While some die, others get old. Today is my birthday and we will drink our victory!"

The group going back to the camp where a lot of bottles of wine waited. They drank until the falling of the night, they smoked the herbs of Rollbar and tormented all the women that passed close to the camp. Drunks, the soldiers sang and they told battle histories. A good day to be older.
