A Hard Blow in Fontan
A Day of Battles in Montijo

Captain Karl was organizing the troops. The banners were already blowing the horns and beating the drums. In the fields of Montijo the flags of Sirion trembled in wait of the combat and each Knight, Lord and Duke gave instructions for the troops, doing they enter in formation. Many soldiers, mistakes sometimes happened. Erik had a long sip of wine while the squire arranged the armor. He expelled the servant and gave one more sip of the wine, doing his prayer to Elune before the combat:

I am dressed with the armor and Elune weapons

So that my enemies have feet and don't reach me

So that my enemies have hands and don't touch me

So that my enemies have eyes and don't see me

And not even a thought they can have to do me badly

Weapons, my body, won't reach

Swords, daggers and lances will break without touch my body

Strings, chains are torn, without my body to tie

Because I am dressed with the armor and Elune weapons

Perseverance, won of the sordid feigning!

The warrior of Dolmbar caught the two elfic swords and walked to the front of the troops. The Stormwalkers were beating with the sword in the metallic shields. The sound of the tempest. Sound of the storm. After many days training the new soldiers in Avamar finally was the moment of giving to them the first combat. After the last battle in Montijo only seven soldiers remained to count the histories of old battles. It was the time of paying blood with blood.

Erik Eyolf: "The enemy is coming from Braga and we won't retreat. Montijo now belongs us and we will defend our territory. That Elune protects us and the Thunder guides our swords! For Sirion!!!"

Captain Karl: "Live by the sword and die for the sword, brothers in arms! For Sirion!!!"

Stormwalkers: "By the sword! For Sirion!!!"

The troops moved forward. Once again a wall of enemy infantry attacking in a great block. A part of the infantry of Sirion stayed in front and invariably they defended the archers. A good rain of arrows against our enemies. Erik was still waiting. The banners moving forward slowly. The sound of the enemies' screams filled the fields with a morbid satisfaction. After some delay the lines opened up and the two infantry blocks saw each other. Furious screams argued with the sound of the march. The shock of the swords. Erik Eyolf had once again the opportunity of showing the leadership of a great Cavalier and the ability of a great sword master. The cavalry and infantry massacred the enemies. All were fallen when we sighted the archers that had remained. There was fear in their expression. Any soldier with sword to protect them. A massacre.

Erik cleaned the swords and kept them in the hem, looking at the wounded enemies around him. Captain Karl used a spear to cross some hurt and dying ones that remained around while the soldiers and healers helped the wounded allies. A good victory. Enough to move away a little of the tedium of the last days. Soon the crows would be overflying and the soldiers hunting. A perfect day.

(OOC: The prayer is an adaptation of a music of Jorge Ben - Jorge of Capadócia. The music is a tribute to the Saint hunter of dragons. Jorge Ben is one of the Brazilian singers more known in the exterior. I recommend.)
