Duke Albert,
The correct form is Edric. Indeed, I'm son of Erik Eyolf and his second sacred wife, the High Priestess of Trinbar. My father is egocentric and I probably would have to live with his name, but my mother thought it right that I had too much personality to lead my own path -- at the same time trying to not enrage him so much. You never win anything enraging him; despite a headache.
That being said, maybe you'll find some similarities. It's always a good challenge to see how people will receive me because of my father. Until now I faced it just in Sirion while I received my formal education.
