Sisters

Some days ago at the tournament grounds...

Dürion was a very different picture of his father. While the Silver Dragon was proud and gallant, the young half-elf was pale like a shadow. He sat down with Sir Lucian and removed the finest gauntlets, ordering his squire to open a keg of Dragon's Breath, his best wine of Dolmbar produced since his father was Count there. The Black Dragon had some titles that pleased him. The young Margrave who bought Negev and burned the temples to the ground. The woods were darker in Dolmbar since his arrival. Reflecting his spirit, serving Elune as the Dark Mother. Raven, viper and spider were his war crests.

The training does not look anything like the battles he had fought in Fontan and in the Sultanate sands. His mood was still directly affected by his performance. The first glass of wine down his throat like water. Even the wine was not able to bring a blush to his gloomy face. His free hand chased a pint of beer. Something bitter. He only realized the feminine presence when she stood before them.

"My name is Eilien Mercury Serpentis. Daughter of Marion Mercury and Erik Eyolf Serpentis... its a pleasure to finnaly meet my brother."

His father had done a fine work. The old one never ceased to surprise him. His voice was cold like a sharp breeze.

Dürion: "Lady Eilien. It seems that we both share the same surprises of life and fate. A fine portion of the same ancient blood. A vein of wine diluted with water... brother and sister of different lineages. And if the rumors are right, it seems that the old one continues to present us with new heirs. Like apples and peaches..."

Despite being the only son to be recognized, the half elf was not son of the nobility. His mother was a priestess dedicated to a clerical life. She owned a religious title, but that meant little more than a formality among the lower castes. Eilien was different. She was daughter of a noble. The legitimacy she had, even belated could cause some discomfort.

Dürion: "I'm glad to meet you, Lady Eilien. But I must advise you in your best interests to not stay among people like Sir Lucian and me. We are not good company for a Lady of your strain. After the tournament I can receive you in Dolmbar if you want to talk. My pleasure..."

And then the young Black Dragon returned to his bitter beer. He probably was not ready for this kind of family relationship.
