The events that have transpired have occurred along the two fronts on which Perdan is threatened directly. This success came after an earlier attempt had failed to establish secure control of the province. During the last three or so months Yssaria has retaken Supra and Aureus, temporarily took over Aestus, and attacked the Caligan capital of Domus. Based in Yssaria, we seek to bring the latest news from around East Island. While our news coverage will naturally focus on a Yssarian perspective, and have an inevitable bias in favor of our own realm, we will seek to report the news in as professional and unbiased a manner as possible. We will also offer editorial analysis of events as well as more traditional editorials, which will be indicated as such appropriately within our paper. Our goal is to raise the standard of journalism and discourse in East Island and provide news, analysis, and opinions in an enlightening and interesting manner. Region Revolts The people of Tokat have revolted and declared independence from Yssaria! Huge Battle Fought A battle occured in Meuse: Fontan is defeated by Perdan Estimated combat strengths: 12000 CS vs. 8000 CS June 26th, 2006 Region Takeover Ibladesh has taken control of Ar Mosul (formerly part of Perdan) Region Revolts The people of Poitiers have revolted and declared independence from Old Rancagua! June 24th, 2006 Region Takeover Fontan has taken control of Bescanon (formerly part of Perdan) Region Takeover Itorunt has taken control of Dayr , a former rogue region June 23rd, 2006 Huge Battle Fought Yssaria is defeated by Caligus in Supra: 5000 CS vs. 7000 CS One Yssarian and three Caligan nobles are captured during the battle. June 21st, 2006 Region Takeover Itorunt has taken control of Zawr (formerly part of Perdan). June 20th, 2006 Huge Battle Fought A huge battle occured in Bescanon: Fontan, Sirion defeat Perdan 39000 CS vs. 13000 CS Kaydron, Marshal of the army of Sirion (Sirion) was captured by Perdan forces. Region Takeover Yssaria has taken control of Tokat (formerly part of Caligus) June 19th, 2006 Huge Battle Fought A huge battle occured in Al Arab: Ibladesh, Itorunt defeat Perdan Estimated combat strengths: 19000 CS vs. 13000 CS Four knights, three nobles, and one troop leader of Perdan are captured during the battle. June 16th, 2006 Two Huge Battles Fought Two huge battles in Tokat: Caligus is defeated by Yssaria in both engagments, fought on the same day. Estimated combat strengths: 10000 CS vs. 13000 CS (first engagment) 5000 CS vs 8000 CS (second engagment) Three knights of Caligus are captured during the battle. The Caligan hero Grontar is killed during the battle.
