Bescanon
Townsland on the frontier of Eponllyn and Perdan, the region is critical to controlling access across the River Bescanon.
Description
Bescanon is a town of war machinery and tall towers,but many would admire the wheat fields matched only by the brilliance of a shining blue canal , and a river that ran with brilliantly colored fish with amazing dyed colors, and arid vast arrays of buildings full of windows where there was a rattling and a trembling all day long, and where the piston of the steam-engines worked monotonously up and down, which was a controlled tempest in a state of constant order building siege engines. From the salty sea, a chilly breeze blows in across the swells, bringing with it the pungent smells of seaweed and fish and ash from Chaos Temple. Sea spray transforms into fiery prisms as the waves splash against the shore, catch the last golden rays of sun, and toss them up like liquid crystal.

History
Ruled by Alain Castillo, the beginning of records in the region was the The Siege of Bescanon 01-1020, where Perdan sieged the battlements of the primary settlement and forced Northern forces out of the region to commence a takeover. Eponlli records are scant before then.
In Eponlli hands, the townsland was made into a fortified staging ground for Northern assaults into Southern territory, with Houses of Healing, a scouts guild, smiths, and three recruiting centers.
At the end of 01-1020 the region was reclaimed by Perdan, and the Lordship given to Imperatrix Alyssa Kingsley in reward for her services in leading the armies of the realm. Lady Alyssa moved the regional capital from Bescan Bridge to the old settlement of Water Town and took up residence in Riverwatch Castle.
Geography
Bescanon's fertile fields exist due to the partial river delta on which the region stands. Rich sandy soils are well-drained enough to prevent swamps in the coastal rain and nutritious with fluvual deposits from the river to grow high quality crops. Low and rolling, gentle hills give way to grass-topped short sandy cliffs by the river's edge. Further east the loose sand gives way to sandstone bluffs, populated with the burrows of purple-and-white cliff swallows.

- Water Town - An ancient Perdanese village, it was founded before the construction of the Bescan Bridge, and has grown to be the largest settlement in the region thanks to its centrality between Eponllyn and Akesh Temple. Home to Riverwatch Castle. 10,000pop (East of Bridge)
- Bescan Bridge - The old heart of Bescanon, built to accommodate the needs of traders and travellers between Perdan and Eponllyn, still a hub of trade up and down river. Former location of Eponlli Lord's Manor. 5,000pop (At Bridge, has Asenian Quarter)
