Raynor Family/Bethesa
During the troubles involving the family, Bethesa was adopted by Harold Tressalt, a wealthy land and dock owner in the Carelian city Strombran, Atamara. Despite spending much time by the docks, Bethesa has always stayed in Atamara and did not even leave Strombran's walls until the age of 17. In the year of Bethesa's 17th birthday however war broke out between Carelia and its powerful former ally the Cagilan Empire. Owing to the need for young nobles, she defied her father's wishes and took up arms against the Cagilan Empire.
Carelia suffered heavily in this war however a peace treaty was eventually signed which demanded long-term peace between Carelia and the Cagilan Empire. After making up with her father, Bethesa spent the next few years enjoying the life of being daughter of a wealty landowner with claims to nobility.
At the age of 20 she decided to spend some time travelling north to the strange, drunken, goat worshipping land of Redspan after hearing the drunken ramblings of a disgusting smelling, Redspan noble one evening. As a then long-term ally of Carelia, Redspan accepted Bethesa with open arms. She was quickly hooked on the ale drinking and shared a strange feeling of sovereignty with Redspan's god, the goat named Da One and the teachings of Da Way.
Bethesa eventually became a fully fledged Redspanian and a devout drunken goat worshipper herself. For the next year, Bethesa maintained contact with her family in Strombran, until Carelia suddenly turned on Redspan, seizing the realm's lands with the aid of the Cagilan Empire. With Redspan all but destroyed, Bethesa migrated north to continue the fight against the aggression from the eastern realms.
She has now settled in Falasan, joining the nobility of the realm. After initially purchasing a city mansion in Barad Falas, she soon moved to the region of Amdor to help establish Falasan authority in the area. This hard work paid off when Bethesa found herself rewarded with a castle and an excellent estate of land beside Atamara's large inland sea. Her castle (pictured) lies on an estuary attached to the inland sea; dominating the surroundings, it offers refuge against monsters attacking the area from the hills of Anfalas and pirates attacking from the sea.
Since the ceasefire in Falasan's war with Eston, much of her recent time has been spent battling monsters in Falasan's souther mountain regions. Bethesea has now risen to the position of Marshal of the main army of the duchy of Barad Gardor. War has returned to the kingdom as Falasan battle their southern foe, the Cagilan Empire.
