Kish and Cenarious's First Kiss

After talking for a brief moment with Marshal Colin, she instructed the chef and the staff to make sure the port was in the same condition it was when they first got there, she was grateful that Duke Conrac had even considered letting her hold the event.

Walking to Duke Conrac to thank him personally she noticed an air about him and quickly realized he had one to many to drink, and that it would be best to do so in the morning before she prepared to travel back to Port Raviel.

Kisharianda quickly made her way back to the estate, she called for Kara and had her prepare a bath, then she took a bit of time to gather up some flour to make a pastry dough, and cook the chicken she had the chef clean up while he prepared the soup earlier. She worked the dough around the chicken and slapped them in the stone oven and hurried to get ready, she didn’t want to make him wait to long.

In Cenarious letter to her he had requested they meet at the grove. The night was beautiful and she hummed as she walked down the path to meet him, she had retired her men for the evening and wished to meet Cenarious alone. With her basket hanging on her arm she felt the presence she had been feeling since the ceremony, she know realized that she would forever know when Cenarious was present.

Walking down the hill she looked in the distance, Cenarious sat on a rock looking up at the star lit sky talking with Maky. She looked down at MoMo who walked beside her holding the end of her dress with one hand, and picking his nose with the other. Laughing to herself Kish bent down and gave a love tap on MoMo’s hand “It’s not polite to pick your nose MoMo” she raised a brow. MoMo looked up at her making a little sound, stopped looked at his finger, looked up at Kish and buried his little finger in his mouth. Kisharianda covered her giggle not to distract Cenarious.

“Remind me to never kiss you” she picked him up in her arms and made her way down the path where Cenarious now sat quietly looking at her walk towards him

“I thought since you missed the charity event I would bring a little something to tickle your palate with” she sat by the rock and opened the basket

“It’s nothing much really, just some chicken wrapped in a pastry, and some sweet wine to wash it down” she looked at him almost shy

The world around Cenarious seemed to grow brighter, and oh so much fuller, as he felt her presence grow nearer. He felt her approaching long before he heard her soft footsteps. Feigning ignorance he tossed another berry to Maky and waited for her to come closer.

“I thought since you missed the charity event I would bring a little something to tickle your palate with. It’s nothing much really, just some chicken wrapped in a pastry, and some sweet wine to wash it down." Kisharianda said shyly.

"It's more then enough my lady." Cenarious said with a smile. "Please sit and enjoy the sky with me."

Watching as Kisharianda settled herself down beside Maky, Cenarious couldn't help but be mesmerized by her beauty. Her dirty blonde hair lay unbound caressing her shoulders as she continued to shyly give him side long glances with her icy blue eyes.

"She is breath taking isn't she MoMo?" Cenariuos whispered in voice that Kisharianda was sure to hear. Speaking louder he continued, "I suppose your ready for some answers, aren't you beautiful? Shall I start from the beginning or would you rather ask me the multitude of questions I can see swirling in your eyes?"

Blushing at the comment Kisharianda leaned in closer to MoMo “He thinks he’s being sneaky” returning the secrecy in her tone she cuddled MoMo’s head in the palm of her hand

“I do have many questions but I have one that has been haunting me since the other nights” she turned with a more serious look

“Judging by the look you gave me, you felt it too” she tilted her head and waited for an answer

"For as long as I draw breath you need never fear the storm my love." Cenarious said as he brushed a finger against her cheek and slid a loose lock of hair back behind her ear. For just the barest of seconds while his finger caressed her cheek they both felt the storm rise around them once more. Yet as quickly as it had come, it disappeared once again as his hand withdrew from her cheek.

"Let me tell you a legend that has been passed down through untold generations of Stormrages and their brides. This is a tale that has never been told to those who aren't of the clan, this is the story of how our legacy began." Cenarious said as he stared into Kisharianda's wide open eyes. "It begins in the time before men, when all the world was young and wild. Just across the channel, in the harbor of what is now Port Raviel, was born the rarest of creations. Fathered by the Great Dragon Sairys, and given birth to by the Great Dragon Nailyon, a new dragon came into this world. He was named Raviel and all the world was his playground. As a Dragon of both Water and Air he was unique among his kind and as he grew, so to did his effect upon this world grow. Much as his elements are constantly in motion, so to was he always at play, making storms and chasing them across the very sky we see today."

Clearing his throat Cenarious continued, "It is during this time that the first age of man began, though Raviel at the time took no notice of such an insignifcant occurrence. As the story goes however, there came a day when Raviel took pause amidst the raging of his storms. Out above the ocean he hovered as he witnessed the struggling of a beautiful maiden in the sea below him. As his storm crashed down all around her she fought valiantly to keep her head above water for just a few minutes more, never once giving up despite the obvious hopelessness of her situation."

Seeing Kisharianda's expression of worry and sympathy for the girl in the story made Cenarious fall in love with her even more. To be so empathic was a rare gift among men and Kish was proving herself to be a rare find indeed. Her beautiful exterior was but a mirror for the beauty within her soul.

"Though I have an uncle that claims Raviel merely grew curious of this mortal woman when he first laid eyes upon her, the rest of my family believes quite resoundingly that it was love at first sight. Regardless of the reasons however, Raviel dove into the sea that day and when he emerged he was carrying the maiden who had so courageously fought to keep her head above the raging waves of Raviel's own storm. Carrying her to safety he found himself on the island of Atamara and their he gently came to rest. Binding himself within a human form Raviel cared for the maiden and nursed her back to health. It wasn't long before their love reached full blossom, for everytime Raviel laid eyes upon her the storm that had once raged all around him would rage still within his breast. Eventually she made a full recovery and on that day the two were married beneath the wide open sky that Raviel had once been a part of."

"The couple found true happiness in each others arms, and for many long years they lived as all mortals do. Never was the sky more clear or blue, nor would it ever be again. The years turned into decades, yet still not a single cloud adorned the sky, and rain became but a memory as the lands grew drier still. The people took to living along rivers and lakes where water could still be found in plenty and still Raviel took no notice of their plight for he was the epitome of the faithful husband and he had eyes only for his beloved." Cenarious's voice grew sad as he continued his tale. "All things in this world come to an end in time and the drought would be no different. Eventually Raviel's beloved succumed to the ravages of time and as she passed the storm within his breast became unbound as he could contain himself no longer. All the world trembled in fear as the once crystal clear sky became as ravaged and broken as Raviel's own heart. Rising back into the sky in all the glory of his true nature, Raviel unleashed his sorrow and fury into the storms that whirled out around him, letting them beat down on the world that had stolen his beloved away from him. Desperate and heartbroken he poured his pain out into the world as he sought death, fully intent on taking all the world with him until, by chance, his gaze came to rest on the earth far below him."

Though she still appeared engrossed in the tale Cenarious knew she must be curious how this all was tied to them. With a slight smile Cenarious continued, "Here is where the legend becomes more revelant to us my love, for cowering in fear beside their mother's remains huddled their grief stricken children. This would prove to be the turning point in Raviel's existance, where he faced the hardest decision of his long life in regards to not only to this world but to mankind as well. Out of devotion to his love Raviel made a decision that only one whose has lost their soulmate can truly appreciate. Using every ounce of courage in his massive breast Raviel chose to face this world alone for all eternity, so that he could protect her children as he had once sought to protect her. It was for all this that Raviel became known not only as the Storm Rager but also as the Dragon of Fidelity and Courage."

As Kisharianda went to speak Cenarious quickly interrupted, "Before you question my tale, let me first ask you this.. Have you found any reason for why a fifth dragon would appear to bless your ceremony?"

Clearly having shocked Kisharianda into silence Cenarious went on, "Surely as High Priestess of the Dragons you felt their presence, even that of the fifth, and can you deny feeling the storm that rages in my blood everytime I see you?"

Offering his hand to her Cenarious continued, "Take my hand and tell me you don't feel the storm, we were meant to be my love, Raviel himself has brought us together."

She took his hand and let out a small whimper, she was trying hard to hide her emotions but the feeling was so strong she could barely contain herself. Not only with his touch could she feel the world around her raging but deep within her heart. It was as if she could feel her heart breaking for the lost Raviel felt, and at the same time filled with a love so deep it consumed her soul.

“I’m sorry” she brought her delicate fingers to her face to catch a fallen tear “I have never heard anything so beautiful in my life”

She had never fallen in love and this emotion she was feeling was unknown to her. She felt her stomach tighten at the thought of never being able to look into those eyes, or to be near him. Taking a shaky breath she thought what if I never saw him again. She didn’t know him but yet her soul recognized him, the emptiness she had felt, was suddenly being filled with an overwhelming feeling of warmth, passion and complete peace. Her heart pounded so hard in her chest, she could feel the vibrations in her throat.

His thumb slowly caressed her delicate fingers, leaving a trail of static behind. Her body was trembling but not from fear, It was trembling from the deep desire of wanting to get lost in his arms just to feel the strength of the storm embrace them. What was happening to her, she couldn’t think straight, she forgot the purpose of why she was even here. She wanted to get out from the spell she was under but at the same time stay there forever, in this still moment.

Slowly taking her hand back to her chest she got up and tried to catch her breath, she looked up at the stars to find a focus point.

“Though I thought for a second that it might be part of the ritual, I knew my eyes had not deceived me, nor could I have ignored the electricity my body felt when I heard his cry” she turned over and looked at him

“Just like I can’t ignore the fact that I feel your presence when you are not near me, and stronger when you are with me” she looked up to the sky

“Everything has been foggy, filled with uncertain questions since the ceremony, what I feel seems like a dream yet I know that it is not, like something has been awakened inside of me but I don’t know what it is” she tried hard not to blink to release the small pool of tears in her eyes but when she felt him standing behind her with his hand sliding gently up her arm she let them go

“ I don’t know what’s coming over me, you’ll have to forgive me” she looked down and wiped her tears “I think this ceremony has took more out of me then I could have ever imagined” she turned over and looked at him smiling trying to find a sense of logic for all of these emotions.

"Or maybe its given you something you hadn't expected." Cenarious responded with a heart felt smile. "Don't be overwhelmed my sweet, we have all the time you need to explore what your feeling now."

Using a gentle finger to raise her chin, tilting her face up towards his own, Cenarious continued, "From now until eternity I am yours my love."

Cenarious couldn't bring himself to wait any longer, and being ever decisive, he leaned forward to gently brush his lips to Kisharianda's own, hopefully for the first of many more such kisses.

Her body was numb and her legs wouldn’t respond, his words had completely hypnotized her. Her first reaction was to push him away, what kind of girl did he think she was. She had never felt the kiss of a man before, and yet there she stood her lips pressed against his.

His mouth locked onto hers almost naturally, she felt his tongue slightly caress her bottom lip and lightly exploring her mouth. She let out a small whimper and felt lifted off her feet as his arms found the small of her back and pulled her closer against his chest. She had known magic, but this was far greater then anything she had ever experienced. His touch was so gentle and the taste of his kiss was like wine to her lips, she didn’t want the moment to stop. Her heart raced and her hands lingered from his arms to the back of his neck as she gently caressed as they kissed.

She felt like her whole body was floating like the ground had suddenly disappeared beneath their feet, the energy she was feeling was so electrifying she could feel the storm surrounding them. She was completely lost in his arms and at that very moment wished he would never let go. And as real as Cenarious was in her arms she heard the cry of the dragon like she had the night of the ceremony. As he pulled his face back to look at her she stood there with her eyes closed with the feeling of his lips still lingering on hers.

“I know you heard that” he leaned and gave her another soft kiss

Opening her eyes she felt light on her feet, like she was almost drunk. She tried to speak but no words came out, with all the view in the grove not one thing caught her eye the only thing she could see was Cenarious. She looked up to the skies in hopes to catch a glimpse, but the only thing visible was a clear open skies with hundred of stars shinning bright.
