Veea

Overview

Veea Olik, ostensibly one of the Braeg-Oliks along with Athys II and Elerik Taim, has a questionable geneological heritage. Her father was Athys the Old, but her mother was not Bosa, to whom he was married. The identity of her true mother is unknown; and with old Athys dead, might always be.

Adventuring

Veea always had a spirit for adventure, no doubt helped by the isolation she experienced throughout her early life. She set out at age 12 at the request (well, demand) of her family and never looked back. She spent her teen years training in the blade, living in the rough, mixing with the commoners and eking out a living as best she could.

Finally, at age 20, she afforded enough to bribe her way onto a merchant ship en route to the Far East Island. She was deposited in Apasur, Sartania, where she immediately sought out signs of trouble. These she found in underground lairs, and slew the un-dead beasts with her sword. From then on she dedicated herself to battle wherever she could find it.

Retirement

At age 22, disenchanted with the rough life of a wandering adventurer, she retired from the monster- and undead-hunting scene in Niel, Sartania. No one knows what she does now, but it's rumored she sold her loot and, using her status as a freeman, became a local shopkeeper. At any rate, it's clear she stopped the fruitless search for her noble heritage to be recognized. (It's unlikely anyone in her family would have recognized her rights as a noble, even if she had managed to find two or three Sartanians who could recommend her.)

Diary

After about a month in the Far East, she began to keep a written account of her activities.
