Davendrall and Anneliese show the newcomer Sir Charion the ropes - Chapter 3

Roleplay from Davendrall
Davendrall turned to look at the man who had entered, looking at him curiously

She spoke in mid cookie munch.

"Omnom...well...nomyom...thats all a...nom...flashy..." Davendrall finished her cookie and beckoned over Barnabas who still had the crate of wine

"Charion, Anne, would you like some Leprechaun Wine, this is my finist personally stock. Im sure you'll find it most pleasing Charion." Davendrall grinned

Roleplay from Anneliese

Anne stopped her whispering as Sir Charion appeared. She blinked at his appearance, then stared. Her eyebrow started to arch upward. Before she could stop herself, she said: "I'm a woman, and even I don't wear that much jewelry." What she didn't mention was that she never wore jewelry at all, despite her gender, so the comparison was not quite as valid as it seemed. "How could you possibly train in all that?"

The mention of Leprechaun wine made her forget the subject. She looked tempted, but declined: "No, I think I shall instead have the amusement of watching you two get drunk... though, I'm sure you're already drunk, Dave."

Roleplay from Davendrall

Davendrall grinned at Anne "Dear Anne, you know me well, but are you sure? Not even a small glass?" Davendrall turned back to Charion and leaned towards Anne to whisper:

"You're right...do you reckon he's showing off?"

Roleplay from Anneliese

From all her private drinking, Anne had started to build a tolerance to the hallucinogenic effects, and thus was not as susceptible to it as she had first been. However, she did not want to test it now. "Perhaps later..."

After a pause, she leaned over and whispered back, "I can't think of any other reason to wear jewelry, unless it has some personal significance. Still, I don't imagine he'd be wearing it while training. Which means he must have been doing something else in all that time."

Roleplay from Charion
Charion blinked for a while confused with Anne's question, he wasn't wearing much jewelry, just the old relics of the family left by his ancestors to him. The question seemed strange, he wondered if her family didn't leave any trinkets to her, or if she just didn't like using them for some bizarre reason but he was distracted by Davendrall and smiled brightly once more.

"Certainly my lady, I'd love to try some of your wine, I already bought some but didnt get the chance to check it yet."

He then looked to his jewels again still puzzled, trying to figure out how they could be too many when they were actually half of what he wore sometimes.

Roleplay from Anneliese

Anne smiled, amused at his confusion, and decided to answer the unspoken question, "Jewelry screams: 'Kill me and loot my corpse!' to all enemy warriors and soldiers. It's not a good idea to go out like that in a battle. Or even while training, for it may affect your grip on the sword."

Roleplay from Davendrall

"People...People...People...we didn't come here to discus when is or isn't the right time to wear jewelry...lets not forget the real reason we came here; To eat loads of cookies and drink lots of wine!"

Davendrall then poured three glasses of wine, ignoring Annes refusual, and passed them both a glass.

Roleplay from Anneliese

"Soldiers will do some strange things to gain more wealth. For example..." She then goes on to describe, with horrid detail, the process of cutting off fingers to get at rings on corpses. One might think that she hadn't just watched it happen, she'd done it herself. "Of course, that only happens if you get unlucky and die. If you get captured, someone may still attempt to relieve you of your money and jewelry... if it isn't a soldier, it's probably an enemy judge."

Anne looks disappointed at Davendrall's interruption. "You're no fun, Dave." She carefully sets the glass of wine down, atop a stack of cookies-boxes.

"Hey, Dave, d'you want to try this new cookie the baker introduced me to?" She gave Davendrall a cookie and grinned, "It's a special, mystery cookie!" She knew herself that the cookie was terrible. The chunks in the cookie that resembled chocolate were actually a very burned, soot-encrusted meat. "You're welcome to try, too, Sir Charion." The prank was intended for Davendrall, but she didn't want him to feel left out.

Roleplay from Davendrall

"Ooooooh speckle cookie!" Davendrall squealed taking the cookie and smiling. She bit into it, and began munching... "YYYYYuuuck!" She screamed as she spat out the disgusting cookie...all over Anne

"You tricked me! You tricked me with cookies" She screamed before running over to the corner and began crying a lot "I was trying to be nice...snif...an...an...an civil...but...but...but...you ruined everything! The...the...cookie...you gave me a bad cookie...snif...MY LIFE IS OVER!"

Roleplay from Anneliese

Anne wiped the bits of cookie off her clothing.

"You know I was joking, Daveity! If I knew you'd react like that, I wouldn'a done it!" Then, she hugged Davendrall, and gave her a good, normal cookie.

"Oh, c'mon! Don't cry!" It didn't seem to be working very well. She sighed. She'd probably regret this later, but if she wouldn't quit, it had to be done. She leaned over and whispered something in Davendrall's ear, though the only thing that could be heard to anyone else in the room was: "...please forgive me?"

In a louder voice, she said, "Besides! We need to show Sir Charion the ropes! So, y'know... he can be a better knight..." She grinned.

Roleplay from Davendrall

Davendrall stopped crying and looked up at Anneliese.

"Its...a nice cookie? A real one? No nasty stuff?" She sniffled, drying her eyes and taking the cookie.

Davendrall took a cautious nibble. "MMM..."

Satisfied to gobbled down the rest. "Yay!" She said hugging Anne back.

"So...how do we show Charion the rope, turning, like Anne, to grin evilly at him.

Roleplay from Charion
Charion heard Anneliese's tales of the soldiers greed with a expression disgust but kept that in mind for the future. Not exactly the kind of things he liked to hear but ohh well...

He then watched the following scene with a expression of amusement and disbelief. They were probably insane but he had seen worse and this was so much fun, he couldn't resist. He then smiled as if waiting for them to return and wondered about Davendrall's slightly disturbing grin.

Roleplay from Davendrall

Davendrall whispered to Anne.

"So...how do you want to 'teach the young man the ropes'?"

Roleplay from Anneliese

"Hmm..." Now, that would be difficult. How do they get close enough to him to tie him down without facing a long struggle? She began to whisper, "I say we wait until he's good and drunk... and hallucinating, and then we tie him up. Or I suppose I could 'accidentally' knock him over, and sit on him while you tie his hands." Because of her height, Anneliese probably weighed more than Davendrall did. "Or a little bit of both. We could wait until he's drunk, then knock him over."

"As for what we do to him afterward - well, I have plenty of ideas for that." She almost began to list them all, but stopped herself. Anne glanced at Charion for a moment, then looked back at Davendrall, grinning.

In her normal voice, she said: "Now, Dame Davendrall, let's get back to drinking - I think I shall have a little bit of your leprechaun wine."

Roleplay from Charion
Charion couldn't hear them from that distrance but he was pretty sure they were talking about him and the looks on their faces made him look at them suspiciously raising a brow. Still he kept smiling and reached for a cup of Leprechaun Wine bringing it towards his lips and then savouring the delicious taste slowly...he then paused for a moment as if waiting for the effects...and them drunk the full cup in a single fast movement and immediately started filling it up again.
Roleplay from Anneliese

Anneliese watched Sir Charion down the wine, trying to hide a smile. "Looks like he's already ahead of us - we don't need to do any convincing to get him to drink!"

It wouldn't be long until he started hallucinating.

She walked out of the corner, and picked up the glass of wine she had placed on the box of cookies earlier. Unlike Charion, she took her time drinking, and when she had set it down again, it was nowhere near empty.

A familiar, pleasant sensation came over her as the hallucinations started. Behind the knight, tiny soldiers riding hawks were picking off squirrels riding tiny horses. Angry, chittering squirrels waved their swords and jumped at the hawks, to no avail.

"So," She said, ignoring the noisy battle occurring behind Charion, "What do you think of the wine?"

Roleplay from Davendrall

"Mwhahahaha! Thats it! Drink it! Drink it all" Davendrall exclaimed, handing Charion another large bottle of leprechaun wine

Turning to Anne Davendrall began whispering...

..."So...how do we convince a man to tie himself up, and what do we do with a drunken tied up man?"

Roleplay from Charion
Charion reached for more of the wine as Davendrall watched and drank all of it without losing any time on futile things like pausing to breathe. After finishing it he smiled and cleaned his lips. He then looked to Anneliese to answer her question and for the first time noticed the effects.

To her right there was a male angel with pale white skin, black robes and wings, with the upper half of a human skull over his face. On her left a beautiful female angel, with golden skin, long blue hair, white robes and a silvery carnival mask over her face.

They both stared at Charion as if waiting for him to speak to one or both of them. The dark angel carried a halberd and the other a sword. Charion watched the scene in disbelief and kept trying to tell himself he was hallucinating but before long, hosts of dark angels were clashing with light angels just over the table and he lost all sign of lucidity.

He charged them both, spilling their blood over the walls (or so he thought), they felt the two figures were pressing him to choose a side. Instead he attacked both and kept fighting until they were all gone. Then he passed out for some hours.

Roleplay from Anneliese

Anne was just about to answer Dave's whisper, when Charion started attacking something that wasn't there. His attacks were coming dangerous close to both of them. She dragged Davendrall and herself out of the way, back into the cornor.

"Charion! Charion! It's not real!" She tried to catch his attention, but he seemed too focused on the battle to hear her. After a moment or two, she quit trying and decided to let him tire himself out.

After he passed out, she nudged him with her boot. "He solved that problem for us - looks like he'll be out for a while. It shouldn't be too hard to tie him up now."

"As for what we do with him - I suggest we steal all his wine, take all his cookies..." She paused, "...pour honey in his hair and tie him to a tree! What d'you think?" It felt as if she was forgetting something important, however.

Roleplay from Davendrall

"He must have had some interesting hallucinations. And a great idea Anneliese...although, I think it should be a bit more public. I reckon we strip him and tie him to a post in the main square of Barad Lacirith, in the early morning before anyone is about and cover him in honey, then throw rice over him...then...then steal all his wine...and and cookies...and and" Davendrall grew more and more excited while thinking of lots of different things to do

Roleplay from Anneliese

"Some place in Barad Lacirith? That doesn't sound like a bad idea... although, we're a bit far away from there - we're in Saradic now - and by the time we got there, he might wake up." She paused, and glanced down at his still prone form. "We'll have to take his cookies and wine before we leave."

The mention of leaving him there naked made her grimace. "Let's keep him clothed, or at least keep his underwear on... leaving him naked out there sounds almost too cruel." In actuality, she just didn't want to see the man naked. It was nothing personal; she didn't want to see anyone else naked, either. "Besides, I bet honey in clothing will be very hard to get out."

"And, instead of rice, how about feathers? I've got some from my hawk, although maybe not enough to cover him completely..."

Roleplay from Davendrall

"Hmm...you did that to me before" Davendrall glares angrily "But yes...not a bad idea...Banana Bus!"

Barnabas came running over

"Strip this man to his underwear and carry him to Hawthorne town square...thats close enough right? Anne, you get the honey and feathers...I...I will get the cookies and wine" Davendrall grinned really happily

Roleplay from Anneliese

"I was in a cage! And you were taunting me! If anything, I should be angry at you."

After a moment, she calmed down. "Hawethorne?" It was a bit too close to her estate for comfort. "I'll need to stop there by there anyway - I don't have enough feathers or honey with me, but I don't like the idea of putting him there. I think I liked your original idea better..." A pause. "If we kept him tied and didn't bring our troops with us, we might be able to get to Barad Lacirith before he wakes up - or at least before he realizes what's happening. If he wakes up we can hit him on the head with something and hope that knocks him out."

Roleplay from Davendrall

"Ah yes! I have an excellent plan on what to do...but I will need to take my caravan"

Davendrall gagged the unconscious man and tied his hands and his feet before Barnabas lifted him over his shoulder.

"Okay, we go to your estate...then...to Barad Lacrith!"

Roleplay from Anneliese

Anne told the servants still standing around to move all the boxes of cookies back to the wagon.

"Don't forget to take his wine and cookies, Dave. He probably doesn't have very much, but that just means he won't miss it."

She paused, and then decided finish off the glass of wine. At this moment, Davendrall started whispering something to her. After she set the glass down on the floor Anne grinned, "...yes! That's the perfect idea! All's I'll have to do now is get the honey."

"Now I just need to find that scribe while you get the wine and cookies, and then we can leave." She walked outside, and spotted the scribe standing just outside the door, looking as if she was afraid something horrible might happen to her at any moment. "No one died - there was no fighting, c'mon, we're going back to Hawthorne and then Barad Lacrith!"

If anything, the scribe looked even more concerned. "...why?"

"It'll make sense later."
