The Northern Defense Initiative (NDI) is a group formed by Baroness Lisa Seraphen of Yule and Baron Lazlo Lemont II of Upper Tell for the defense of Minas Leon. Borne out of their wish to see an active Home Guard unit which reacted proactively and decisively against domestic threats, the NDI serves as one of Minas Leon's two Home Guard units and the only one to be developed outside the top of Minas Leon's hierarchy.
