Official Scroll Whacking

(Roleplay from Rekhyt Ryû)

Rekhyt spotted the Duke crossing the square, the crowd of people swelling out of the way of his awesome presence, even after losing all his men and returning home alone. He still had a grace about him, even in what some would call defeat, but what Rekhyt called a huge victory.

Pushing through the crowd, Rekhyt could see the Duke slowly getting farther away from him. Dammit, I'm not going to catch up at this rate, he thought, pushing person after person out of his way. This isn't working.

"EVERYBODY GET OUT OF MY WAY!" He yelled into the crowd, pulling out two scrolls marked with his official seal, and put on the hat he wore during court sessions. These people might not notice Rekhyt, but they would notice Lord High Chancellor Rekhyt, if that's what it took.

"Move! Move! Move!" He wacked people with the scrolls, making them turn around and then practically run out of his way, after seeing who it was. Soon, the crowd swelled out of his way as it had done for the Duke, and Rekhyt quickly caught up with him, just before he entered the next section of the city.

"Duke Xarnelf! Good to see you're back! I've had some business in the city and I wanted to come welcome you back myself." Xarnelf turned, glancing up at the massive hat, and then grasped Rekhyt's outstretched hand.

"Come to see us off, Lord Rekhyt? I didn't know you cared that much about this war!" The Duke had a glint in his eye, nearly laughing.

"No, good Duke, not this time," Rekhyt replied, starting to walk towards the center of the city again, the crowd practically fleeing at the sight of the two of them. "No, this time, after seeing your reports and that Viracocha does indeed have a unit, I think I'm going to have to try to capture him myself. I'll be coming with you on this expedition into Soliferum lands. I've been limbering up, and I'm off to the recruitment centers to get my own unit." Rekhyt turned to see the Duke stopped in the street, staring at him. Rekhyt laughed. "What, you've never seen an old man fight before?" He turned and kept walking, leaving the Duke with his mouth almost hanging open in the streets of his own city.
