Undelivered Letter

The messenger jogged towards the barracks with the letter still held in his hands. Xarnelf frowned slightly from the doorway at the sight of the apparently undelivered missive.

"Sir, Lord Orphen is absent from the city. A temple official states that the Pontifex had left Idapur three days ago to travel north to Nahad and perhaps has even moved on to Larmebsi." He returned the note to the noble's hand.

Xarnelf let loose a soft sigh. "Very well, thank you for your efforts."

The courier saluted and trotted off.

After turning back into the common room, the young knight crossed over to his captain and sat down on the cot next to him.

"It appears that we have traveled in the wrong direction, unfortunately. Lord Orphen has already moved north a few days prior. Let's head onwards to Nahad at dawn."
