Overprotective Men...

(Roleplay from Rebbec Kazukin)

"Lady Rebbec!" Rebbec could hear one of her scouts screaming on the top of his lungs as he came running towards her.

"What news do you have for me?" Rebbec looked on as he came barreling closer and closer his news must of been urgent.

"Eight Hundred Infantry...." The scout said panting, "One Hundred Archers...." he continued.

"Is that the size of our army?" Rebbec said, as she looked over to one of her Fallen Angel.

"No mi'lady, we barely have three hundred infantry, and roughly forty more than one hundred archers." The unit member said to her, as Rebbec looked back to the scout.

"What do these numbers mean?" Rebbec asked, perplexed as to what it was suppose to all mean.

"Soliferum, they're coming for us. They've given up on their take over to try and wipe us out." The scout announced, as the remaining Fallen Angels had gathered to hear the news, and looked to Rebbec to see what her orders were.

"Well this is excellent" Rebbec replied, as the others looked on confused. "High Marshal Merlin put it in my hands to make sure they moved out, and my plan seemed to work."

"We had a plan?" Rebbec could hear one of her units mumble under their breath.

"Shhh!" Rebbec said to the general direction, "good work scout, tell the others" she said, as she turned around to look at the scout.

"Well mi'lady, they're already all set up, they're waiting for you" The scout said, as he forgot to mention.

Rebbec's eyes got wide, as she quickly gathered all the Fallen Angels that hadn't been listening, and quickly scurried to the battlegrounds to join all those who had dug in already. As she joined and finished digging in her unit, she could see the knight, Connor moving forward towards something with his unit of mixed infantry. She didn't seem to notice what it was, as she was to distracted by being nudged by Lady Adaria. Adaria didn't say a word, but simply pointed to Rebbec's right where Cynogan seemed to have set up his infantry. Rebbec then promptly looked behind Adaria, and diverted her attention to her left, where High King Tharion had set up his infantry.

"Overprotective men..." Rebbec said to Adaria, as they both looked at each other and giggled.

(Roleplay from Connor MacCrae)

Sir Connor received the orders to dig in and prepare to meet the enemy. Looking around, he chose a site near the front of the coming battle, but well back from where the enemy was expected to arrive.

"Men, dig in here. We haven't the range of the archers, but our javelins will do a nice bit of damage to all who approach, and they will get a warm welcome indeed. Remember, 2 volleys, one charge to slow them, and then retreat. We aren't in this to stop them, we are in it to confound them and hurt them without sustaining much loss ourselves. Be sure to tip your helms to the Ladies Adaria and Rebbec as we pass through their units. I've set us here so that we may pass through their camps on the retreat. You sons of goats will not get the chance otherwise."

The Zolon Beserkers roared in laughter and approval.

"Overprotective men..." Rebbec said to Adaria, as they both looked at each other and giggled.

(Roleplay from Connor MacCrae)

..somewhere in Taop, a ragtag band of men drag a litter carrying Sir Connor.

"Uggh...wha? Where am I? Who hit me? Captain Hildebrand!"

"Sir?"

"What Happened?"

"Well, sir, the men didn't want to wait long enough to use the palisades, so they advanced to throw their javelins. If you recall, you were inspecting Lady Adaria's camp when the enemy appeared."

"What do you mean inspecting? I don't remember that."

"I was being polite sir. You and some of the men were looking back wondering why the Lady was giggling and waving at you. The men it appears were eager to loose their javelins and retreat through the Lady's camp as you suggested. Except there were an awful lot of the enemy. You ran ahead to catch them, cursing that if they survived this you'd kill them yourself for their stupidity. Apparently most believed you. We were caught in the open and killed or wounded to the last man, yourself included."

"Stupid men! And I don't even remember Lady Adaria's camp. Stupid....."
